When Eli returned from America, he came bearing gifts. Sadly, those gifts were cheap snacks bought from gas stations in Florida. None of this seems like a particularly good idea. There’s mystery meat, misguided gummies and peculiar Peeps to sample as well as something Paul is pretty sure is spoiled. Elsewhere in the show, there are more musical musings to be had when Silverman’s Platter showcases a Thunderbirds themed rave track, a rap from Barnsley Bill and a vinyl record full of nothing but laugh tracks. Along the way, the Cheap Chaps get lost in way too much vulgar punnery, create the “Wacky Boys” sitcom, and barely keep their s*** together. Enjoy!

Ep 321: Sprayonnaise

After the excitement of last week’s live episode, Paul and Eli are feeling a little burnt out. To combat these blues, they decide to dive into a particularly liquid edition of the show. There’s a large assortment of items to guzzle and sup with hot sauces to endure, chutney to sample and a wide and unsettling range of soda drinks to investigate. Everything from Barratt’s candy based soft drinks to pineapple flavoured habanero sauce passes their lips… and don’t even get us started on whatever that cumin drink was all about! Along the way, there is also time for a couple of appallingly improvised songs and a visit to Dr Silverman. It goes about as badly as you expect.

It’s been months in the planning, but it’s finally here! Ep 324: Red Nob Day 2023

After the disastrous events of last week, things return to normal for this week’s episode. Whatever normal means. It’s a music heavy episode as we take a trip to Silverman’s Platter to investigate some novelty pop songs from bygone times. They investigate Hanna-Barbera inspired rap, endure some space themed disco, and then brave the contents of “The World’s Worst Record Show” album, that has some truly troubling tracks. We apologise in advance for what you will hear. There is also time for a quick Gannon’s Golden Games, based on an old TV format. However, Eli may have truly ruined the segment forever and Paul is close to throwing in the towel. It’s all a bit of a shambles this week. OH! And we launch Urinevision 2023 too! Which is nice.

Ep 325: Mrs Miller and The Stardust Cowboy

Paul reopens his candy store this week and invites Eli in to sample his latest sweet offerings. Surprisingly, they’ve never covered jellies before (or jams, if you prefer) and they thought they’d look for the cheapest to see if they pass muster. Will a Vimto or Slush Puppie jelly be any good, or will they be embarrassed by the Hartley’s brands? CheapShow intends to find out! It’s also been a while since we last had a Tales from the Shop Floor on the show and so the cheap chaps dip their toes into another tale of woe from the world of commerce. Before you think that this all seems pretty normal, bear in mind that in this episode, Eli tries to convince his new “mink” character isn’t a total embarrassment and Paul would rather come up with a load of mucky James Bond film baddies. Bloody idiots.

Ep 327: Silversquirt

When it comes to cup noodles, we sometimes wonder if they are so preoccupied with whether of not they could make wild new flavours and didn’t stop to think if they should. On this week’s CheapShow, Paul and Eli are about to find out if Nissin’s Cup Noodles have gone too far. Can a “breakfast flavoured” noodle be anything other than disgusting muck? Will Nissin’s winning streak finally end on this very episode? You are going to have to listen to find out! Before they can dive in, the Cheap Chaps have a few choice vinyl platters to wade though first. There’s an odd collection of music curios to sample, with offerings from Smiths Crisps, The Bolton Bullfrog and a reggae track packed with farts! This is definitely a weirdo week… and Paul and Eli’s egos may be getting the better of them too!

Has Eli finally met his match? Usually, he only has to fend off the annoyances of ONE Paul, but this week, he is up against THREE! Mr Gannon is joined by Paul Rose (Mr Biffo) and returning guest, Paul Putner! The much-loved comedian and actor returns to the CheapShow fray for a bumper Charity Shop Showcase and a Price of Shite with real, terrifying stakes. Over the course of 90 minutes, you’ll hear tales of showbiz woes, listen to what went on with “Knife and Wife”, discuss the secrets of The Bill and drown in a sea of weird “exercise and healthy living” 12-inch LPs. From Slim Goodbody to Sesame Street Live, via tiny toys, classic comedy sketches, Star Wars anecdotes and video game guides… It all leads to a thunderous and fiery climax! It’s going to get rowdy!

Ep 333: Three Pauls And A Silverman

In Episode 310, all those months ago, Paul and Eli attempted to complete the whole of the Celandine Walk in 6 hours. They absolutely failed and had to abandon the walk because Eli had somewhere better to be, apparently! However, this failure got under their skin, and they decided that they both need closure. This week, the Cheap Chaps decide to finish off what they started and endeavour to complete that walk, taking them from Swakeleys Park to the Grand Union Canal in Cowley. That means there is a good five miles of walking ahead of them! Along the way, they decide to also cram in another modular “Price of Shite” and guess the prices of seven weird and wonderful charity shop finds. Who will win the most “p’twings” by the end of the journey? Why do they keep getting lost? What happens when they run out of places to walk to and who smokes too much and nearly whites out? Find out in this bumper walkabout edition of CheapShow!

Ep 334: The Walk Men (A Ball Of Chalk Part Two)

There is a lot going on at the moment. Paul and Eli (but mostly Paul) are organising Urinevision 2023 (live on YouTube Friday 2nd June at 8pm GMT!) but Paul hasn’t got the time to mess about with all that “editing business”, so they’re going to deliver one of their patented “real time” episode. No cuts, no retakes, just 60 minutes of raw CheapShow action that dives into cheap spicy noodles, some limited edition flavoured soft drinks and, unfortunately, some bloody Durian Cookies. Ep 335: Down and Out in The House of Pickles

The sun is out and Paul and Eli have no intention of recording this week’s episode indoors. Rather than sweat it out in the House of Pickles, Paul recommends a wander around Stanmore Country Park and Eli willingly agrees. After all the drama of Urinevision 2023, a nice relaxing walk in the woods of North London seems like the perfect antidote the cheap chaps desperately need. Over the course of one long, hot Summer’s day, Paul and Eli will tackle cheesy cheap eats, they’ll attempt to value some Transformers themed Price of Shite items, Paul will discover that wearing shorts and traversing nettle bushes don’t mix and Eli will become obsessed with the word “pasturey”. Expect the usual arguments, confusing comedic scenarios and, with a bit of luck, a swing to have an accident on! Join us on a sunny day walk that will absolutely, positively be blessed with good fortune…

Ep 337: Cow's Parsley & Lamb's Lettuce

After a few weeks of song contests, real time episodes and walkabout adventures, Paul and Eli are back in the House of Sausage and Eggs for some wholesome and earthy cheap and cheerful segments. They’ve found some proper discount snacks this week, tasting a range of budget bites and fizzy delights. There’s an Irish Monster Munch knock-off to sample, something a little tasty for instant noodleheads, a traditional potato snack with a confounding gimmick and a soft drink from India that is more fascinating than the cheap chaps first think! Sadly, any joy taken from these nibbles will be sapped away in the Silverman’s Platter segment. It unleashes three truly soul crushing audio oddities that range from the saccharine to the outright offensive. Can you survive these vinyl record hellscapes? Paul and Eli are barely able to! Despite all of this, one question remains… Who Am The Panty Man? You’ll regret asking, that’s for sure.
Actually no… One more question! Who the hell puts a serial killer’s painting for sale in a charity shop?
