When the call goes out, we answer! A recent which.com article looked into whether a posh cup of tea is any better than a cheap builder’s brew. When it comes to Tea, Paul and Eli are self-proclaimed experts and they decide to do their own mini taste test. Paul has bought cheap Tesco Own Brand, Yorkshire and Twinings tea to see if Eli can notice any considerable difference! Not only that, what does Eli think is the best? If you really want the answers to these enquiries, then give this podcast a listen! Before all that “science” happens, the cheap chaps have a gift box from New Zealand that contains some hot sauces AND a collection of candy that will delight and appal in equal measure! And finally, in a shocking turn of events, Eli has remembered Paul’s birthday! However, it will soon become apparent that he really shouldn’t have bothered!

Ep 402: Tea 2: Judgement Tea

Due to circumstances beyond Paul & Eli’s control, they’re recording this week’s episode from inside the original House of Pickles… And Eli couldn’t be happier! To “celebrate” the Cheap Chaps are going back to basics with some good old fashioned content. To get things going, Eli has a red hot Sauce Report in more ways than one. He’s sourced two sauces from a nearby convenience store, which was handy, as its conveniently down the road from his place! Paul delivers another Page Turner segment with a book he’s been trying to get into the show for ages. As it transpires, this book got a bit more of a reputation following its appearance in a recent Ghostbusters movie! This publication promises a world of “Strange But True” stories guaranteed to confuse the podcast hosts. In other news, CheapShow invents a new pet and, sadly, it’s exactly what you think “Nougat The Saucy Horse” is!

Ep 405: Return To The House of Pickles

MONO EDITION: There’s a pointless, nagging question in Paul & Eli’s minds… How many bridges span the whole length of the Regent’s Canal in London? A popular YouTuber suggested around about 40, but the Cheap Chaps aren’t convinced and decide to find out for themselves. So begins a near 9 mile journey right through the middle of London that will delight, confuse, upset and annoy them both. Beginning in the East at The Limehouse Basin, they’re going to travel West all the way to the Paddington end. How long will it take and how many bridges will there actually be? You’ll find out in this 2 hour epic episode. Along the way they’ll vent about joggers, marvel at the graffiti, reveal some history, tackle some Eli supplied snacks, share some personal stories and ONE of them will have a very unpleasant bathroom experience. Come along for another “ball of chalk”, have a “knees up” and try to have a proper “bubble” in this “capital” CheapShow adventure!

Ep 406: All Water Under The Bridge (Mono Edition)

Following the shocking events of Episode 407, Paul has been in the care of our resident supernatural expert “Gareth”. It was Gareth who found him and exorcised the demon from his body, but Paul was badly shaken up by the experience. As a result, Paul has only got ONE HOUR to record this week’s podcast and it’s up to Eli to get his co-host through the next 60 minutes. In a slightly more unfocused episode that usual, Eli pulls out a range of sweet Polish mustards to taste test the living hell out of them. Thankfully, because of the live show, there are also big bags of crisps to sample and all four flavours are loosely based on the UK TV gameshow “Bullseye” branding! Will the snacks live up to the legacy of Bully and his darts based quiz? There is only one way to find out, and that’s to get their gobs all over them. It’s another “real time” episode, so hold on tight!

Ep 409: Mustard Bully

Following the successful live show back in October, Paul and Eli have been graced with an assortment of gifts and items for the podcast to enjoy!
