These tracks are mostly clients I've recorded in the studio and sometimes at live shows - while doing the House Mix.  I did not record my early band "Clear Logic", but played guitar and keyboards full-time.  I recorded and played on "Lunatech" tracks- which are Brian Hutchison compositions with him singing/playing/programming most of the instruments and me playing guitar sometimes.
  
I played in touring bands for several years, then went back to college to get a Bachelor of Music degree (composition and arranging) from Cornish College of the Arts.  Upon graduating I knew I would rather record other people playing music and hopefully capturing their magic moments.  From then on I put all my efforts into that and mostly quit playing my own music.  Ever since I was a kid I listened for both the emotional and production aspects of music, and it was my favorite thing to do.  I was just as interested in instrument/voice timbre/blend as well as what feeling was being conveyed.

Vinyl. A substance that in some circles is more precious than gold. Miles Kazemian aka Dj Program is a member of one of those circles. Around the turn of the century, underground clubs like "The Naf" and "The Superhighway" were the epicenter of the rave culture in seattle. At times when the world seemed like it was in chaos, groups of young people, flocked to underground warehouses, basements, and converted townhouses for intense dance music and surreal surroundings. There had to be a drum and bass room. and a chill room for anyone who took too much. "Sometimes the smell of cigarettes still reminds me of gritty fingers massaging vapor rub into my temples at a thousand revolutions a minute." Miles commented on the smoking section near the woods near the naf. "Back then it was all vinyl. It was the standard. Dj's would show up with milk crates full of vinyl, and just pull anything out of there. They didn't have sets made up or anything, or beat counters. They just threw it all on there, and it was a thousand times more amazing. I remember seeing a guy get boo'd off the stage for using a laptop in his set. I guess you could say things have changed a lot in the last ten years. But nevertheless, people need to remember how it all started, and recognize real skill, when they do see it." 
Miles has been focusing mainly on his solo project Your City Sleeps, but he is said to be putting some work in on some live sets in the near future.

A xyster is a surgical instrument used to scrape bones. The Xyster Ensemble is a musical outfit. The ensemble consists of myself, but on good days I'm accompanied by (in alphabetical order) Oliver Dillon, Morgan Hendrickson, Louie Husted, Miles Kazemian, Brent Knowles, most objects, and the birds in my back yard.
