I wrote this song while living in an RV on a gravel lot in the Permian Basin of West Texas 1,000 miles from home. I was scratching out a living with thousands of other men in the oilfield, most of us not from around there. Filled with the hope and promise of an oilfield boom and more alone than I had been in a long time. The beauty and solitude of West Texas and the dreams of home. Hope you can relate.
