  Originally from Beaumont Tx, 2-2- Killz moved to the Houston area with his family after their home was damaged by Hurricane Rita. Both he and his sibling, Ty Jungle, had an interest in music; she would rap and sing, and he would rap. 2-2 got distracted and got involved with the gang life and had many altercations and incidents that resulted into a stint at the Harris Co. jail, his small stature being 125lbs, he held his own, got released and decided he wanted to pursue a rap career as a rap artist.
   Killz tried numerous jobs and discovered he had mental issues, including schizophrenia, that prevented him from holding a regular 9-to-5, so he delved deeper into his newfound talent to make original recordings instead of just freestyling.

My name Vernon Parks and my DJ Alias is SLICK HOMIE, i'm 34 years old ive been creating and mixing for 20 years,....Im from Kewanee Illinois, i grew up not really having much but my father always made sure that we never went with out, as the years went by i was always interested on how music was created in a way that sounded so good it could give you goosebumps and i wanted to make other people feel the same way. 2004 was when i discovered Fl Studios and made my very first beat and from that point i really had an understanding of how is made digitally, the following year in 2005 i was given my first electric guitar, i didnt know how to play and really didnt have the patience to learn, well some months went by and then tragedy struck my life  an unimaginable tragedy........April 8th, 2006 my eldest brother (Andrew Scott Hampton) was taken from this world at the young age of 19, that really took a toll on me mentally and i shut myself away from the outside world for 6 months or more, during that time i developed depression and attempted suicide,i turned to drugs and alcohol, i was in and out of jail and really i was thinking that i was at rock bottom there was no hope for me. What could i ever do in my life that would be worth something?     So, I started writing lyrics, i thought "Hey i can express myself through rap" but once again a failed attempt to be somebody. I lost my grandmother to cancer in 2003, more years passed on i dropped out of highschool in 2006 and the drugs and alcohol continued, lost a close friend in 2007 to suicide, another friend gone in 2009 from automobile accident, and another close friend in 2011 due to suicide and lost my uncle to Lukemia in 2016, mu sic has reall;y helped me cope with some of the things ive dealt with in life, its been my healer and my therapy....
