Figments is an introspective journey depicted through ethereal soundscapes: personal experiences that define us yet result from intimate contemplation that little has to do with objective experience. 

In concert, mind and surroundings create a new world, where the boundaries between reality and abstraction seem feeble, non-existent. Field recordings make way for subtle ambient layers: a metaphor of the world being absorbed and reinterpreted by our consciousness. What’s left is a path made of memory, experience, feelings that become the compass that guides us through the intricacies of life. 

Like waves, perpetual melodies break through the veil of reality and force us to look within, question ourselves and what defines us. 

Figments is a celebration of the inner voice, the one that can shape reality so that we can live within its boundaries while being truly, unquestionably ourselves. 

About the artist: 

A "homegrown" of Naviar's community, Constantin Blu, aka DesuExSounds, started producing ambient and soundscapes by picking up the Naviar's Haiku challenge almost four years ago to explore and develop creativity through music as a tool for self-knowledge and interaction. Previously just a passion, Constantin has co-authored musical projects for dance and theatre in the Bucharest scene with friends who have a special home town in common: Onesti. "Figments" is the first ambient solo album that coagulates this journey, reflects the personal bond, and draws inspiration from Naviar's artistic ethos.

Once again, I set some rules and left the synths dreaming while I had a nap.

Being part of a two and having no form I/ we  are  prone to alternative and posibly delusional reality ... 

Analogy 1 ... when barely out of my teens I used to find long pieces of music that I liked ... I used to set up my record player in that repeat mode ( per clunk clunk I called it ) ... I liked the continuity and it was like finding a place to be that was my own and secure ... With the advent of digital it got even easier ... every continuous repeat  listen noticing a different hidden detail in whatever piece I was fasciated by at the time  ... Now I think in these terms all the time ... The legacy of vinyl , cd and tape almost , but not quite , a memory ... Music becomes parallel information etc 

first cod haddock analogy leads to second ... I don't look at a drawing, picture or painting from left to right .. nor from top to bottom ... So , hard as I might the locked in the " beginning to end " of aforementioned analog types of media stay with despite  ... Listening may become dislocated from time ??? and be an is ??? a movement inside every individuals thoughts only ??? 

I make a meal I lay and set the table .. if people eat I am delighted .. If they do not I am usually already busy making something else :) R+LL

Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good Evening, wherever you are in the world, I hope you’re having a great time making sweet music for the world to enjoy and remember, every step we take...is rhythm :-)

Back to my old tricks again, got an absolute shit load to do in my personal life, paperwork, emails, oh and look for a job and once again, the music devil slipped in the studio and said, 'Hey John, remember that recent music pack you got?' - He sure is a bastard and it's 3 o'clock in the morning, 5 hours after I said I'd go to bed....has it been worth it??? ☺

I spend about 6-8 hours a day on here in between work and sleep and I can honestly say that there is far more talent on Soundcloud than can be found on any street corner or TV show. I am very grateful for my followers support and for the many musicians I have chatted with on here. I salute those who give it their ultimate best, I applaud those who never give up and I credit DJ's, whose tireless dedication to the art of joining not one but many records together to make a party atmosphere seem like one long holiday.
I would like to thank Alex Ljung and Eric Wahlforss (the creators) for giving us Soundcloud but most of all, a chance for all musicians good or bad to unite as one and share our passion for music. By listening to most of the artists on here it has given me a real surge to do what I have loved for 40 years...make music for the world to hear. 

I hope you like the tracks I have created and I WILL flourish into a more competent musician and produce more better and durable tracks for you all to listen in the future.
