آمادئو کلمنته مودیلیانی ، نقاش و مجسمه‌ساز برجسته یهودی‌تبار ایتالیایی بود.. شاخصه آثار مدرن او چهره های ماسک مانند پرتره هایی بود که درازی و لاغریشان اغراق شده بود.او در پاریس از مرض سل مننژیتی که نتیجهٔ فقر، کار بیش از حد و افراط در مصرف الکل و مواد مخدر بود، در ۳۵ سالگی درگذشت.
هنگامی که مودیلیانی دوران نقاهتش را در کاپری می گذراند، در نامه ای برای اسکار گی لیا نوشت،  :دوست عزیزم , من مینویسم تا خودم بر تو نمایان سازم و خودم را نیز به خودم ثابت کنم. من قربانی نیروی عظیمی هستم که میخروشد و سپس متلاشی می‌شود... امروز یک بورژوا به من گفت – به من توهین کرد - که خودم یا حداقل مغزم بسیار تنبل است. این برای من خوب بود. خوب است این گونه اخطارها را هر صبح به هنگام برخاستن بشنوم:اما ایشان نه می‌توانند ما را بفهمند و نه زندگی را...

Hamburg electronic music duo with Syrian roots Shkoon delivers Underyourskin Records‘ next EP ‘Letters‘ - a musical clash of diverse folk and traditional influences fusing together with a downtempo house vibe. The dreamy ‘Ala Moj Al Bahr‘ plays with the symbiosis between oriental vocals and a desert like desolating sound construct that finds its peak in a melodic discrete synth oriented part that lets you feel the occident. JAVID‘s remix puts more emphasize on the folk elements of the original limiting the vocals to a minimum yet being so on point that the yearning for more is inevitable.

This is a cut from the end of my Revolver Podcast. It is the last track from my set that I mixed with the beautiful recorded words of my soul sister Farah Chamma. Her words talk about the importance of oneness. A poetic remembrance that we are all but one. 

This track is originally created by @sari, a producer I have much respect for his work. He mixed in the sounds of Lebanese mountain vocals of Elias Karam. I decided to repost this part in specific because of the message that it holds. I hope you enjoy it.

Just like Rim, the remixes are a mixture of eternal optimism, defiance and resistance as well as beauty, devotion and fragility. The up-beat, electronica, dub, house and club-style pieces are composed in the spirit of celebration of Rim's legacy. This album, released exactly 1 year after Rim Banna passed away, is a reminder that her voice and message are here to stay.
