The other track I made for Sample Pack Contest 11. This one got 17th place out of 73 entries!

My commentary on it:

"i have become very influenced by certain musicians lately who this track title is two anagrams of (the part in not parenthesis is one person and the part in parenthesis is the 2nd person), can you figure out the puzzle?! 

any similarity the title has in depicting the track style is pretty coincidental but it does sort of work i guess. mixture of nature (minks) and technology (AI Authored) and sounds like you are going on a hike (but the first one, there can be more than one) in the SKY (multiple people said this track felt like "sky battle" music and i kinda agree). 

I made this pretty last minute (though i also made my other entry pretty last minute, this one was even more last minute) like 6hrs before the deadline and also like half of the duration of working on this I was struggling to work on it while listening to other music at the same time as working on it that i could only listen to at that specific time for the full live experience. i'm happy with it despite that, got to explore some tonality realms i never really touched before by my perception, and the form of rhythmic ambiguity isn't a type i quite tackled before either. It's "adjacent enough" to the composers i claim to be influenced by here in that regard, though a lot more "sounds like transposing a chord sample around" than i intended to be and if i'd given myself more time to work on it i'd have been able to properly explore and study the intended Composers-That-Influenced-This styles more faithfully"

This track is from the second incarnation of Nintendium-118, a collaborative chiptune compo hosted by the PSG Cabal themed around the elements. Each entrant was randomly assigned an element from the periodic table, and had to create a chiptune track based around it. This year's release features a healthy mixture of newcomers and alumni from Volume 1, leading to a compo that is familiar, yet also refreshingly novel.
