Over the past year or so I have watched as the releases on Holding Hands got more and more intense. Don’t get me wrong, I love it. Intense and straight to the face was always the plan for the label. At the same time I do have slightly more varied taste and I had been getting sent a decent amount of incredible music that didn’t quite fit on the original outlet. My first love when it comes to electronic music is dark, eyes down, bass heavy and so it seemed like now was the perfect time to create a label with a slightly deeper angle to accommodate this sort of thing.

Yosh was one of those people who had sent me some serious fire. I had been chatting to him here and there on Instagram over the last year but I hadn’t heard any of his music. Finally, on a whim I asked him to send me some and boy am I glad he did! I completely fell in love with his vibe and it seemed to perfectly encapsulate the sound that I wanted to push on Holding Hands Submerged. Don’t for a second think that this is some lounge listening ambient business. These are club weapons firing on all cylinders. It’s just that the cylinders make you keep your eyes down and your stank face on at all times.

On top of being a sick producer, it turns out Yosh is also a total legend. I’m so happy that I get to release some of his music and that I’ve got to know such a lovely guy.

“The Hike (Pulsarion vs Sandboy Remix)” takes Sandboy’s original mystical blueprint and cuts it open with razor-sharp edits.

Haunting piano lines, tight percussion, and heavy acoustic bass remain at the core, but here they are reassembled into an ambient-leaning breakbeat form — cinematic, weighty, and quietly relentless.

It’s not about a single drop, but about the climb: textures stack, atmospheres shift, and pressure rises step by step, like ascending a neon-lit trail.

The result is a track that is both meditative and physical — ambient in tone, yet fully functional on late-night floors.

Nipponeer Records being based in Tokyo, Japan; was founded by Hiroshi Fukuma in 2003. This is the 253rd release of the label, while the first EP came out in 2009 - aiming to reach a place of solely ageless and quality music, where time has got no dimension.

Having been steadily absorbing the flowery humidity in steamy spa towns of central Florida since his debut outing Chillax, Floridian $1 house music purveyor Blair Sound Design aka Kyle Lyon emerges into the Lobster forest with all 16-bit brass and duvet filters blazing.

Taking inspiration from late 80's and early 90's bargain bin finds, as well as a lifetime spent strapped to Game Boy classic Kirby's Dream Land, Console Humidity finds Lyon on classically chipper yet introspective form, carving a path well trodden but that is unmistakeable his own. 

In his own words, the EP follows a loose narrative reflecting on the ebb and flow of ones mental state throughout any given day: where it lies as you wake, go about your day, meditate, stress, and rush about a busy unrecognisable city. Every console has its processing limits, and people are very much the same. Hopefully this collection strikes a balance between introspection and peace as it does rhythmic propulsion and face-screwing mirth. 

From the digital emotive-ambient transients of RNG Therapy, to the deep brooding house grumble of Silph Scope, the happy-go-lucky swagger and jazzy keys of Startup Tool, and the bizarre & comedic pandemonium of Overheated - Console Humidity is a lesson in life, a jump onto a surface of unknown dimensions, a conversation in practice and a method of practicing conversation. It is singular journey with real warmth and rough edges and an extra shot to give your day that little kick to get you going.

We are happy to say that French Press Lounge is back in action with the latest from Orlando's own Blair Sound Design, a four tracker aptly titled "4-In-1."

Kyle Lyon has had a wee obsession with the history and spoils of bootleg ephemera within and surrounding underground dance culture, video games, and consumerist visual culture at large. Whether it be an absurdly good unlicensed remix on a mysterious white label, an old RPG soundtrack from a long-defunct NES game developer or a remarkably "bad" utilization of classic house tropes, there lies a beguiling sense of charm and humanness in such things appropriated with creativity and love for the medium.

Returning under the Blair Sound Design name after releasing "Console Humidity" in 2018 with Lobster Theremin, Lyon begins to unload the multitude of sketches and tracks from the last 4 years that aim to explore and marry the crossover point of classic house stylings and illegal instances of entertainment technology. "4-In-1" is perhaps the most tool oriented selection in this coming wave, with a focus on wildly, loosely swung percussive maneuvers, scant use of melody, a drop of piano chords, decidedly busted sampling mechanics and big emphasis on his signature "8-Bit 808" sub-bass, culled from the Nanoloop Mono synthesizer cartridge using his own DMG-01 Gameboy handheld game system.

Rough, ready, and kind of annoying: "4-In-1" feels like an honest attempt to celebrate and crystallize the nascent thrill of electronic (re)production in an age of technological democratization and a culture obsessed with the notion of authenticity and the self, inherent or fabricated. As was once said,
