The two new songs from each band are perfected with the expertise of veteran producer Will Yip. Whirr’s signature atmospheric haze enthralls more than ever in what seems like a nine-minute dream. Their masterful control of soundscapes is matched only by an intensity that their shoegazing predecessors could only wish to achieve. Nothing’s contribution is a full-on aural assault: the two songs are aggressive, yet harmonious.The ongoing blown-out barrage lulls with only brief periods of quiet melody that hit like armistices. Yet, the songs are harshly beautiful in a way that perfectly captures the Philadelphia band’s definition of reality.

I used to teach children of soldiers, and I had a few who lost their fathers in war. It was never easy to deal with these situations. This is dedicated to the children who have had to go through this while the rest of us live in peace because of their sacrifices.

My Father's Laughter

This track takes Blade Runner and slices it into something new—distorted fragments that pull you into a futuristic dreamscape. The chopped sample rides on top of deep synth work, blurring the lines between nostalgia and a dark, hopeful future. It feels like you’re walking through a forgotten city, neon lights flickering in the rain, the past barely holding onto the edges of the present. There’s a rawness here, with influences from Vangelis, Aphex Twin, and Radiohead pulling you deeper into this eerie yet somehow comforting space. The experimental sound design, bending and twisting, takes you off guard but still feels grounded. It’s a mix of cold, metallic elements softened by emotional undertones, leaving you thinking about what was, and what might have been, long after the beat fades out.

Somewhere towards the end of the 20th century government sponsored agencies began an experimental attack upon the citizens of numerous cities and towns throughout the postindustrial nations of the world. The reasons and the effects at that time were questioned as well as the validity of the questions raised towards such events. In the midst of these events individuals and groups began to develop theories and documentations of these anomalies, known since as the chemtrail  phenomena, and publish these findings in blogs and personal publications. From the inner sanctums of the conspiracy and from the most insightful fringes of the theorists arose a hybrid of propaganda and mysticism.
