Fanontale is an AU that takes inspiration from Undertale fanon perceptions by using it to influence the roles the beloved characters take, as well as manifesting in-universe, affecting the characters and their stories.
This is not an Undertale AU about "What if Undertale fanon was good", but rather one that seeks to answer the question of "what if fanon perceptions had direct consequences for the lives these characters live?"

With Monsters believing in the prophesy of The Absolute, a lot of them are pretty scared of Chara, knowing they could potentially be the downfall of their kind. It is, of course, up to Chara to decide what to do about this fear. Do they fight it? Or do they fight 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮?

I HAVE ONCE AGAIN `arranged a track based on a fanmade secret boss`. WHAT IS IT WITH SECRET BOSS TRACKS AND GOING SO DAMN HARD X'D
Ok but for real, this one was a LOT of fun to arrange as a whole. I had a blank project file sitting on my computer since December, knowing I wanted to cover this but not being able to muster up the motivation to start. The second I did though, I went at this with guns blazing -- so much so, I finished this in about a week!
In spite of its rougher qualities, the original track easily spoke to me the *most* out of p much all the "Woody theory" tracks so far, so I gave this all that I had. Incorporated more Flowey elements (and especially leaned heavily into Your Best Nightmare,) beefed up the low end, changed up the chord progression in the second half and changed the final section's lead out for another "Finale" trumpet line. And while it defo sounds a bit different from even the original FRIEND INSIDE ME, sentence mixing You've Got a Friend in Me was still p fun (as is sentence mixing in general, rly wish YTP ideas came to me more easily lmao.)
Pretty much the *only* thing I'm iffy on is the square bit at the very end, but I'm EXTREMELY happy with this track otherwise. Hope you guys enjoy! :)
