With Valentine’s Day approaching, I wrote this song exploring the feeling of longing for a fairytale type love while grappling with the fear of vulnerability in relationships. The protective instinct to dismiss hope for a healthy, peaceful love as something only the little girl version of me would believe in, as now the reality of getting into a relationship seems scary and too good to be true. Craving to find the balance between protecting one’s heart and entertaining that little girl who still believes in fairytales.
