“Hope” Was written with the incredible Phoebe Jacobs with the support of double bass maestro “Alex Tilley” and it’s been Cheshire’s reaction to the feeling of social divide growing every day. “We are so focused on constant gratification towards our own beliefs that we have forgotten the importance of debate and the acceptance of opposite ideals & beliefs. Social echo chambers, uncertainty & conspiracies have massively contributed to this. We feel so isolated even with the world at our fingertips…” Hope is a simple reminder that we are actually all human beings, just trying to make sense of the uncertain. We all have the capacity for compassion & our strength to make positive change will always lie in us working together.

After countless hours spent chopping up vinyl, laying down basslines, tweaking synthesizers and banging on drum pads I'm proud to present "I'm Gone". This album aims to bring back the soulful sounds of the past while maintaining a bass-heavy modern feel. I'm especially happy with two tracks on the album which feature my friend Willdabeast (of Snug Harbour and Michal Menert Big Band). Will laid down some soulful horns, flute and a few other instruments to take my sample-based beats to the next level. Chris Assaad and Mose are pleased to offer this beautiful collaborative effort coming deep from the hearts of a brotherhood formed through musical resonance. These two converged in Toronto (Chris’s home base) in the summer of 2018 when the seed was planted for collaboration. It is an adaptation of the original song written by Chris, weaving in newly recorded vocals and the added elements of Mose’s production including a bit of his flute. This newly revised version of the track took shape inside Mose’s personal retreat towards the end of 2018 and fully blossomed into the final offering that it is today during his following retreat in the fall of 2019. Both have dedicated themselves deeply to craft something touching that neither one could do alone. Maybe you can feel the essence of love and compassion in Chris’s words woven delicately through time by Mose’s signature touch.
