In a city of whispers where lamplight decays,
A black-and-white cat walked the labyrinth ways.

But a silence that trembled whenever she came.
Through doorways of incense, through echoes of song,

One night by a chapel, a candle still burned,
And something eternal within her returned.
The choir was thunder, the organ was sea,
And the cat felt the veil lift, unveiling the Key.

She curled on the steps as the stars leaned in close,
Her breath like a prayer only angels could know.
And there in the hush, with the moon overhead,
She found God in stillness, in living, in bread.

A kind soul passed by with a cup, warm and sweet,
Steam swirling like incense, a soft holy heat.
She sipped from the saucer they set by her side,
Hot chocolate—communion in cocoa divine.

Now evenings she lingers where shadows grow thin,
Her eyes twin lanterns, the sacred within.
A seeker no longer, just perfectly shod—
The black-and-white cat who drank chocolate with God.
