I spent the 1990's doing Country at WXTA in Edinboro, PA.  Bob Winters was the station owner, and we got our liners from Michael D. Hanks.  This reel was tagged "2 TRK Mono - 15ips - 8/12/91."  Someone, fetch me a bunch of AudioPak broadcast carts, please...

WXTA Liners (1991)

In March 2024, WXTA went back to using the heritage call letters for the station's branding (they had been "Nash-FM" for the previous decade).  And with WXTA's 35th anniversary being in September 2024, I thought it might be nice to go back to the beginning.  This is likely the first imaging package the station used after flipping to Country on 9/11/89.  The box containing the reel was labelled "Big Al."  Outtakes in the audio refer to "Roy," ostensibly Roy Laurence - the station's operations manager in those early days.  By the time I got there in the fall of 1991, Roy had departed, and the Big Al liners had been switched-out for ones from Michael D. Hanks, a.k.a. "Buster."
