Known as "Diamond Wall" I was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, until my mother decided to move me and my siblings to Miami,Florida. Which is where I began to expose myself to the fast life. I was around the age of 12 I wasn't really producing any music at the time I was preparing myself, we eventually ended up moving again to Fort Myers, Florida where I started getting greatly exposed to the fast life, at the age of 16 I was selling drugs involved in "Homosexuality" and I was doing secular music at the time with a record label called "LOB" I released a mixtape (Diamond Wall Mixtape *Female Dog* ) in 2012 which was recorded out my bedroom with me expressing who I was at the time and what I was about. Around August, 5, 2012 few months after I had released my mixtape I got saved, and God changed everything about me I was completely made over until nobody could recognize me let alone believe the old me was "GONE". A year later August, 12, 2013 I released "Da Renovation" this Mixtape did more than what I expected it to do, it created a buzz for me, from Fort Myers ,Tampa, Miami, Greensboro, Lake Placid, even some areas I've never even been to, I can truly say God hand was over my life because truth be told I should of dead in 2012 from all the drugs and toxic relationships I was heavily involved in but when God saved me He cleaned me up pretty well and "No" I don't look like what I've been through. I love using my gift of music to reach the younger generation, from rapping to sing to mentoring and even encouraging all my siblings in Christ to keep fighting the "Good Fight" thats simply me nobody special just a "Child of God"

Jacob “Lyrikal Profet” Mendez was raised in ministry with his parents in Saginaw MI. Jacob, at the age of 12 started Rapping and has felt led to do so ever since, he has gone thru 4 diff. groups until he moved to California and started the Flamin Souljaz. Recently God moved L.P. to Nashville TN. Were he and his wife reside. Though it was a hard move to make after being with the Award winning group for 11 years, he had to follow the call on his life. With 20 years in the Rap Ministry L.P. has embarked on his Solo Career with his 1st Single release “Bout Dat” it features his Wife God’z Girl, he is also the C.E.O. of M.T.E. Music Group where he Manages 4 artist: Witness, Wizdom, God’z Girl, & J.E.D.I. 

 

 

 

The StageLyrikal Profet with the Flamin Souljaz has shared the stage or Opened up with many names such as: Oldies Singer’s Brenton Wood, Aalon, Rufas Troutman of ZAPP, DeniseWilliams, M.C. Blvd, R&B Sensation Jon B, Actor Danny Trejo, Actor Danny Delpaz, T-Bone, B.B. Jay, Priesthood, K2S, Gospel Gangstaz, Lil Razkull, Age of Preachas in the Hood, E-Dog, 12th Tribe, Fros-T, SOG Crew and many Others!!!! 

 

 

On ScreenLyrikal Profet is also an Actor, he starred along side Actor Noel G. in SOG Crew’s Music Video “I can finally Breath” he also starred in Ice4CHRIST Video “This is your Life” he also was an extra in the motion picture “Drive” Starring Ryan Gosling. Lyrikal Profet Co-Wrote, Directed, & Starred in the stage play “Dear Mr. Gangster”

 

 

AwardsIn 2006 Flamin Souljaz received an Award from the City of South Central Los Angles for participating in the very 1st Community Block Party. In the beginning of 2009 Flamin Souljaz got 3 nominations in Ventura Counties Mavric Awards for Best Faith Song of the year, Best Rap song of the year, and Best Demo of the year. Also in mid 2009 Flamin Souljaz Received an Honoree award from Fire Fest/G.M.A. Award show for representing the West Coast through positive Hip-Hop. In late 2009 Flamin Souljaz headed to the ATL. To attend the Inferno Urban Music Awards where they where Nominated in 3 categories Best Hip Hop performance, Best Band/Group Live Performance, Best Band or Group, bringing home the Best Group Award of 2009. In 2011 Flamin Souljaz where Nominated once again at the Inferno Urban Music Awards for Best Group & Best Collaboration! Flamin Souljaz song “California Sunshine” Feat: Rufus Troutman was also Nominated for the Grammy’s in 2011.

 

 

AlbumsFlamin Souljaz released their debut album "Demon Murdera" in 2002. “Bounce ta This E.P.” in 2005. Their latest record entitled "Follow You" is released in 2008. They also will be releasing a Greatest Hits Album do out in 2013. Lyrikal Profet’s Debut album will be released Late 2013.
