Novar (formerly Supar Novar & Novar FLIP) is an artist, writer and social activist from Islington, North London. Labeled as a 'UK legend' by SBTV, the award winning rapper was first known as part of The Mud Family collective alongside Skinnyman, Chester P and more. As a solo artist he has toured the UK and been heard on radio stations from BBC Radio One, to Itch FM. As a respected figure in music, Novar has collaborated with Dappy, Charlie Sloth, Foreign Beggars, Ed Skrein, Doc Brown and many more. Since his debut on Kemet Entertainment Records (Klashnekoff), Novar continued to release music under his own imprint Flip Life Records. He became one of the few artists from the “UK Hip-Hop” scene to keep himself relevant through the ages.

Early in his career Novar notably worked with the Stop The War Coalition, contributing music to their cause and performing at monumental protests in Trafalgar Square. With a new found following on social media, Novar has recently returned his efforts to social activism. Through the launch of his Flip Life Radio show on Pyro Radio, and his contributions to campaigns such as Rize Up UK, Novar has become a beacon in the world of political protest and built a platform to highlight and discuss social issues. 

Through his radio show and own media platform Flip Life TV, Novar has also taken a natural step into music journalism. Launching straight in at the deep end, Novar has already written cover stories for House of Solo magazine, and interviewed Lil Yachty, J Hus, Chip and many more. 

Back on the music side, Novar has been in the studio with Show N Prove, Donny Bravo and Danny Bones, cooking up some of his best material to date. With a new deal in place with Underworld Konnect, Novar is about embark on a whole new journey.  His forthcoming album 'Damaged' showcases his most personal and artistic venture yet.

Mr Upstream Is the Founding Member Of the award winning R&B Group RoughCopy, known for their high energy & harmony driven Music.

During X-Factor UK 2013 Mr Upstream and his ex groups successful run ending up as semi finalists on the show, with subsequent signing to Sony Epic who released their first single ‘Street Love’; the question is what else is there to Mr Upstream & RoughCopy

2014 was spent touring and fulfilling booking obligations throughout Britain, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Greece and Cyprus. Alongside studio sessions with producers and writers which has developed a portfolio of R&B infused music that is enviable, the group have worked with producers from the world famous ‘F Block’ (Home of Naughty Boy); Troy Antunes (Justin Timberlake); New Money Studio and 3Mindz now just known as P2J.

Mr Upstream plans to develop a warm nostalgic interpretation of a globally accepted sound with a 21st Century tilt which he has affectionately named RnFro (R&B Meets Afrobeats)

Not only did Rough Copy advance their musical craft, they was firm favourites on the UK fashion circuit and featured at various events during London Fashion Week 2014 and 2015 (ASOS and Hemsley)
previously being booked for events in Paris, the Caribbean, Canada, USA and Russia, Rough Copy continued to develop their musical craft and was seen supporting the likes of Omarion (B2K) and going on tour with the UK R&B sensation Damage.
