Combine a pinch of joke, 6 fat tablespoons of irony, 9 cups of fantasy, and a few drops of reality (trust us, a few drops of this is potent or it’ll end up too rancid to taste) on a cold table. Preheat furnace. Fold the mustang juice in then give the mix a tight, hard and rhythmic whip. Pour in an equal part of sweat (preferably a human blend) then bash everything together with four strings to form cutthroat peaks. Display a wide array of vocal and/or physical abilities to ferment the batter (for instance, spoon feed a plastic baby while crying for the batter). Fermentation is complete once it starts bubbling vigorously. Drop it into the burning pit and let it bathe in madhouse temperature until it is on the brink of explosion. Glaze it with sparkles and slime.

Island Futurism is Taiwan's first Afrobeat inspired band formed in 2018, led by DJ @llenblow, former bassist of Dub/Reggae bands Hang In The Air & Taimaica Soundsystem, and one of the purposes is to pay tribute to Fela Kuti, Father of Afrobeat. Their music infuses Funk, Psychedelic, Jazz into traditional and islandish music to create their unique sounds of the future, emphasis grooves and improvisations. Their ideology inherits Afrofuturism mainly, trying to provide a beautiful vision of the future, but transforming it into Austronesian edition by adding themes of Taiwan's aboriginal mythologies and alien legends, to coin Formobeat that only belongs to Taiwan.

In July of 2020, they made their 13-piece one-take recording session at The Cave in Taichung in 2 days, and then independently released their debut album AIslanders digital version in the end of 2020, also marked the very first Afrobeat album in Taiwan.  In April of 2021, cassette version was out in limited quantity of 200, and they achieved release parties with Taiwan's first 2 handcrafted sound systems in Taipei (Millennium E) and Kaohsiung (Formosa Soundsystem).  AIslanders has received positive reviews from Taiwan and oversea since released, and was nominated for Best New Group/Band and Best Band of Singapore's online 14th Freshmusic Awards, also Best Jazz Album of Taiwan's 12th Golden Indie Music Awards.      

With the whole new lineup, their sophomore album Patri-Ark was released on 5/5/2023.
