My entry for Novation x Lex Luger Beatmaking Competition.
I used several samples from the provided pack, for drums, 808s, strings, arpeggios and brasses.
Additionally, I added choirs from Nucleus Kontakt Library, cinematic drums from NI Action Strikes, a few royalty free samples from Splice and recorded my own adlibs for the vocal sample. No unofficial/uncleared samples were used.

I've recorded it during the New Year's Eve and that's why it's called the beginning :)

The Beginning

I remixed this track in 2014 for a MacPro Video remix competition. Which it came third. Because i felt i'd rushed the mixdown and mastering process (for the deadline) i decided to get it professionally mixed and mastered. The producer/mix engineer i chose was the legend that is Mick Glossop, who has mixed many an album (and won awards) for Van Morrison. Who then put me in touch with (also legend, mastering engineer) Tim Young at Metropolitan Mastering. The end result sounds a whole lot better.
