The group was formed in April 1998 by Lucky Maphosa, Siphamandla Maphala and Thato Letsholonyane, the group consists of ten members, but has 6 performing members.
This is an a cappella singing group which was inspired by groups like Accapella, Take 6,
Heritage, Ladysmith Black Mambazo to name but a few, we were inspired by their a cappella music that we thought we should continue with the craft but …also add more African feel to it as we are Africans who are proud of being Africans.

The groups has been involved in fundraising projects for different organizations and have encouraged many young up and coming musos in giving them courage and to believe in themselves as we could see so much untapped potential within themselves.

The group has performed at weddings, funerals, Birthday Parties and different Denominations around the Country, We’ve shared stage with other Gospel groups like No – Limits, Emmanuel Ministry Group, Victor Masondo, Gail Hamilton Masondo (Former manager of Take 6 From Choice Management USA), Prince Lengoase, Mokale Koapeng, Concord Nkabinde, Sylvester Mazinyane and have participated in Music Conventions Adjudicated by Mr. M. Masote.

The Music of the Group is a cappella but musical instruments are also used as sweeteners, the music of the group is mainly Gospel but it also includes African Jazz elements, Isicathamiya and some good old a cappella voices.

The Beginning Verse 1 is the group’s first Album and as the title suggest, this is our first offering on our music Anthology, Accapella 4:1 “The last angels to send the word through music”

With our most recent Corporate performance being at Nedbank for their Deep Green Day.

The groups CD The begining – Verse 1 got good review from Sowetan’s TimeOut date 13th June 2008, the CD got 4 Stars.
