The Om. a.k.a. Ominous

I'm a producer of various types of electronic music ranging from Drum..n..bass, Hip hop, Ragga, Grimey stuff, Breakbeat, Dubstep and OutThereCrazyShit. Been doing it for years... Started making music using Octemed back in 92 on my trusty Amiga 500. Must of been one of the first people to play out with a computer bustin my own bits (94/95) Using an Amiga 1200 this time. Worked in loads of studios doing techie stuff and programming. Hell! I've even used to teach Music Tech at the College of N.E London.

Right now I'm studio manger and producer at DADARAS Production Ltd and one half of Yam & Banana production team. 

My style is high energy and punchy with an old skool twist.

Some say its more of a 60/40 split, whatever the ratios he's gona make you krunk in your boots! when i say krunk i mean fuckin krunk!! A Bristol based rave enthusiast dominating clubs and events all over the UK Supporting the likes of Andy C, Break, Rob da Bank, Sub Focus, DJ Hype, Carl Cox and a countless number of other talents. After hitting the Global circuit with Arcadia, visiting such countries as Thailand, the USA, China, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand (to name a few) and hitting jungle raves in Panama and teknivals, raves and festivals all over Europe, his hyper energetic sets, combining the best in drum and bass, electro house, breaks, reggae and occasionally disco, will be spreading vibes and joy through dance floors everywhere...

Mark Kane has been DJing for over 29 years under various guises including: Kane, Kane and Able, DEF inc. and currently as Soulshake, a DJ/VJ/AV act combining music, graphics, film and special FX with a sampling, looping, re-editing and cutting 6-deck audiovisual mixing technique.

He is versatile across multiple musical genres including: breakbeat, house, hip-hop, psy, electro, progressive, world music, global fusion, chill out and drum and bass.

He has released tracks with Botchit and Scarper, Finger Lickin' Records, Born Idle Records, 777, Spin Out Records and Pirate Breaks and his career led him to residencies at London underground breakbeat party C64 and the Jet Lounge in New York and nominations for Best Breakthrough DJ, Best Breakthrough Producer and Best Club Night at the International Breakspoll Awards. 

Originally from London and now based in Ibiza, Mark has performed across the world (Australia, Belarus, Bosnia, Croatia, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, India, Latvia, Lithuania, Morocco, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, France, Turkey, Ukraine, USA and the UK) and numerous festivals including Glastonbury, Glade, Bloom, Seduction, Dragon, Freekuency, and Sundazed Festivals.
