The Dee Dee Dums met at swing band rehearsals, Kevin was the drummer and Luke was the guitarist. Because neither of them could sight read music, they often stayed together after practice to catch up to the rest. They have been playing together since (for the past year). Both members play guitar, drums and sing - and describe their music as kind of bluesy, but chunky Led Zeppelin, until their swing band roots get the better of them and they morph into a smokey Chicago Jazz club band. The Dee Dee Dums have already developed a strong following due to their entertaining live performances. They were the second place getters in AmpFest 2005, and also went on to win third place in the Next Big Thing State Final.

ORIGINAL Citation (Oct 2014): Rosetta’s Plasma Consortium (RPC) has uncovered a mysterious ‘song’ that Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko is singing into space. The comet seems to be emitting a ‘song’ in the form of oscillations in the magnetic field in the comet’s environment. It is being sung at 40-50 millihertz, far below human hearing, which typically picks up sound between 20 Hz and 20 kHz. To make the music audible to the human ear, the frequencies have been increased in this recording.
