This EP collects my contradictional impressions about "the new world" where I and, it seems, everyone appeared during the last year. Personal experience faces giant tectonic-like movements and borns paradoxical combination of pathetic and epiphanic feelings from the one hand, with hopelessness and bad feelings - from the other.

These are musical images from "the other side", talking in a language of the past and turned to it - in real-time. It is also the way of a paradoxical view to the "new world", which was changed, but simultaneously left the same.

I reached and I saw, and I didn't like what I saw.

"Winter Sunrise" is the lead track from an upcoming collection of Uncle Hassell's recordings now being assembled for release of the Careful Disorderliness label. Watch for an announcement soon.

As a deacon at United Methodist of Mer Rouge, Hassell Clark had keys that allowed him to enter the sanctuary during off-hours, of which there were many, and record the sound of various settings on the church organ--usually single notes and sustained chords--which he would later edit and manipulate extensively in his home studio, resulting in impressionistic pieces like this one.
