Produced some weird ass wonky techno with @queaver. Now playing ukulele and toy piano for his daughter. Wondering if he should start producing again for KVR's OSC, inspired by the amazing @jasinski-contests and @keith303.

Chemnitz City is not really the hub of the world with all its industrial fallow land but it seems that the city is again and again having enough agars to bear unique music. Producer and liveact Markus Harzdorf alias Queaver is one of the best examples. It was the end of 2001 when the Karl-Marx-Stadt born Markus joined forces with his well- known musical partner Versis for a producer & liveact duo after a long jam session: Queaver & Versis was born. The first official appearance as a liveact happened at Alter Bahnhof Halsbrücke in april 2002. More gigs took place in that year among others at legendary Club Achtermai Chemnitz. The ultimate breakthrough for Queaver & Versis came with their co-operation with Carsten Rechenberger & Recall 8 and the thereby associated first release on Miditonal Records in 2004. The second release was signed in March followed by appearances on Miditonal 003-005, 007, 008 and 010. Besides that Q&V tracks were definitive responsible for the success of Kugelbox Records which hit national and international record stores in 2005. Tracks on Pure Rhythm and Error Records and remixes for Cannibal Cooking Club lead to productions for the British „Wonky“ Labels Shed Records and Coin Operated. Versis withdrawal from music business due to private and career reasons in late 2007 was a harsh relapse and ended in a magnificent final show at Sonne Mond Sterne Festival 08. Full of zest for action Queaver keeps the typical QV-sound alive enlarged with analog synthesizers and 8-bit sounds coming from the classic paddle game boy. Constant increasing requests from Germany and Europe is an outlook for upcoming output and live shows.

Q-ic, also known as Luc Byltiauw, started his career as a sound engineer at the age of 15. Driven by his passion for audio, the path to electronic dance music was a natural way to follow. His engineering talent didn’t go unnoticed and his innovating new sound was welcomed by major labels such as Virgin and Universal Music. This resulted in a boost with approx. 200 gigs a year and in co-productions with artists such as DJ Coone, DJ Ghost, DJ Bam Bam, CJ Bolland, Marco Remus, Da Rick, Lethal MG, ... only to name a few. 

Since 2003, releases under various alter egos hit the charts worldwide with productions on renowned labels such as Polydor, N.E.W.S., Panda Funk, Bonzai Records, Ghoststyle, Yellow Fever, Zoo Records, Babaorum, Killaz, Pitch ... Hit tracks like Desire Go Higher, Punk Shock, Musique, X-Rated Love, Approaching, I Found You, Fortunate Beats, 24, All Night, ... became all time classics and Q-ic’s energetic bootlegs have been picked up far across the borders.

With performances all over Europe and guest appearances at several of the biggest festivals out there such as Tomorrowland, Reverze, Nature One, Love Parade, City Parade, Defqon1, I Love Techno, In Qontrol, Decibel Outdoor, Summerfestival, Q-Base, Emporium, ...  Q-ic knows how to entertain mass crowds!

After 7 years of residencies at the legendary clubs Complex & Cherry Moon, Q-ic took a break from the harder styles in 2012. In the following 10 years he focused on his house/edm project Ilektrify. In the meanwhile, Q-ic produced music for the theatre shows and feature movie of Belgium’s Got Talent winner “Baba Yega”. Q-ic toured 3 years around Belgium with Baba Yega’s DJ show which was a mix of a DJ set and powerful dance acts. 

In 2020 Q-ic decided to make a come back at the harder styles and now Q-ic is concentrating on retro dj sets. Behind the decks, Q-ic never fails to deliver and he is set to bring a mind-blowing performance at each and every gig! Those meeting him on the dancefloor can expect one big energetic ride of highlight  moments, exclusive bootlegs and most of all... the best of jump, French-tek and techno music.
