For Italian singer/songwriter Carol Mag, writing is a liberating process she loves to share with her audiences, both in performance and on record.  
“My music is influenced by real-life experience and I hope that whoever listens to it can recognize himself/herself in it,” she says.

In 2015, her self-titled debut album won “Best Pop Album” at the Akademia awards. “From awe-inspiring ambient intros to fiery pop dance choruses, Carol Mag possesses the combination of voice, melodic and songwriting instincts to make this pop album shine,” noted the Akademia jury. 

In this album, Carol collaborated with Italian producer and songwriter Frank Minoia (Marina Rei and Jenny B.) who co-wrote nine songs. For the album, Carol shot four music videos currently available on YouTube:

Born in Rome on August 12, 1993, Carol showed a passion for music from an early age. She studied piano, singing, diction, and acting and received diplomas in modern jazz dance at the Balletto di Roma school; and music at the Conservatory of Potenza, and the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, Rome.  

She fell in love with American Pop/R&B after hearing Christina Aguilera’s soulful song “Beautiful” on the radio. “Christina’s voice moved me the first time I heard it. She’s my biggest inspiration, the reason why I sing.”

Carol’s powerful voice and high level of musicianship earned her a scholarship at Berklee College of Music, graduating with degrees in Songwriting and Contemporary Writing and Production (2017). She’s currently attending the Master’s program in Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration) at Berklee Valencia.
