Uwe Scholz is responsible for vocals and the most lyrics, some songs, the best ideas, the good feeling and the important tambourine etc.
Jochen Lederle does all the rest like lousy guitar playing, composing while sleeping, tight drum programming, shaking and mixing, holes in the air staring and recording on a 12-track hard disc power machine and last but not least burnin`burnin`burnin

JD & Folk was set up as a side project for John and Dave to play some acoustic, country, rock and folk music. With 35 years between their birth dates, they have a vast collection of musical influences.

Since 2012 JD & Folk have been gigging regularly around Guernsey and further afield, including performances at the Sark Folk Festival, where they shared the stage with the likes of Seth Lakeman, Show of Hands, Hat Fitz & Cara Robinson and Winter Mountain.

Although their live performances include mostly covers, the band released a demo CD of original tracks in spring 2014 and followed that up with a studio EP in 2016 and another in 2019.

There are only 2 permanent members in the band, but on occasion JD & Folk are joined by other musicians for their live shows.

John occupies lead vocals and also guitar, ukulele, harmonica, foot drum/stomp box, and foot tambourine during any performance and often playing multiple instruments at the same time.

Dave plays guitar, resonator slide guitar, pedal steel guitar and dolcima.
