The band emerged by chance and straight from the heart of Madrid night life. It was indeed this city which not only welcomed their Barcelona, Castille and Buenos Aires future band members but which actually made sense and converge their aspirations and ideas towards music creation. Thus, at the end of 2011, Under We Are is born, with Iván García (lead voice and guitar), Pedro Rodrigo (drums and voices), Juan Campbell (Bass) and Jesús Rodriguez (guitar and voices) as the original group members.


Their influences array from the 70’s American Rock Roll to contemporary British pop; perfectly blending, fresh and vigorous melodies, sweeping guitar bursts and frantic rhythms which awkwardly fit in any specific genre. Chill beers, off hour’s fags, unlikely wishes and loads of unfulfilled dreams, are embodied in Under We Are lyrics; you will heard to both their daily routine and to illusionary trips to unreachable worlds, dwelled by pirates and super-heroes; shaping a rather fascinating world.


Their debut EP, Learning Needs, have been auto-recorded chasing the energy that the band use to spread on their shows and in every of their rehearsals. Songs like Learning Needs and/or Superhero, are perfect samples of what Under We Are pretends to say with its music.
