Up next on Renegade Methodz is label head Endlec. Following last year's ʻʻCycle Of Doomʼʼ EP, the Greek producer returns to the label for his first release of 2024. 

Dry loopy techno, composed with classic techniques, yet designed for the modern dancefloor...the ʻFutur Akustikʼ release finds Endlec returning to a sound that has defined him earlier in his career and showcases the producerʼs knack for memorable sonic designs and admirable studio prowess. 

Minimal in its components and pristine in the sound processing, the listener is presented with a cohesive collection of classic techno tracks that blend a mix of raw, percussive, driving elements and powerful kick drums with ever-dominant synth lines, providing a sense of intensity and raw emotion to all cuts, while straightforward techno rhythms keep the record dancefloor-regulated. 

ʻMax Hitʼ opens the release and wastes no time by creating an intimidating introduction. A bold, toned percussion makes for an infectious groove, instrumental in the most efficient way possible. Dry and tight in the drum department for maximum effect, bursting with metallic sounds creating overwhelming tension full of grit and texture. The restrained production foreshadows a minimal but rhythmically effective track, keeping things straight to the point before introducing the defining mid-section synth riff, affirming the sheer size of the track. 

ʻFaux Wave 3ʼ introduces an expanded palette of textures on display with its tight saturated groove commanding to be heard in this production as razor sharp lead lines, blended with cavernous spaces and rolling percussive patterns. 

On the back side, ʻSystematicaʼ hits a little deeper with an infectious, pulsating bassline that effortlessly pushes all other elements forward, with a simplistic yet distinct synth motif that dips in and out, creating an ominous feeling of mystery that surrounds the track. With a few fundamental elements, Endlec manages to have things constantly twisting and changing, introducing a boundless dimension to a track made with impeccable precision. 

Closing the release, ʻSignalionʼ brings an even darker tone and maintains a similar hypnotic energy with its loopy groove. A perfect blend of distorted drums, rolling percussion and captivating metallic FM tones throughout, delivering a neat finish to the EP. 

Refined yet effective ʻʻFutur Akustikʻʼ honors the true spirit of techno and gives a taste of things that are yet to come.

At Turbo, we love to pay the ultimate price. Sometimes that means releasing life-saving bangers despite the enormous emotional cost to ourselves and the people in our lives. And other times that means emailing outside our comfort zone to decidedly foreign countries.

Tuscany-born Marco Faraone and Uruguay-guy Diego Infanzon are currently based on the sweating edge of contemporary Eurotechno. “My Own Reason” kicks off their Turbo debut with an Italo-trance dancehorse that poses the answer-hungry question, “Who Are We and Where Are We Go?” Post-leadoff track “Breaking the Rules” incites the crowd to overthrow its masters at the municipal level and beyond, over a vascular throb that evokes the word “sinew” like few other floor-fillers released this month. And “Level One” gets you in on the ground floor of the Qatar’s tallest nightclub, with what everyone will immediately recognize as frisk n’ tug NDA acid.

Just as any serious intellectual has spent the past decade contemplating the Trolley Problem and nothing else, any self-respecting FLAC collector has got to get in on this digital release, which includes the closer “Control Your Mind.” We are not telling you what to do here, but we will point out that this moving example of Cyber-Altruism is just another reason why “Go for It” is our middle name.

Seit 1997 ist CHiLi CORN tief in der elektronischen Musikszene des Ruhrgebiets verwurzelt. Seine musikalische Reise begann in den tiefen, pulsierenden Basslines und hypnotischen Beats der Underground-Raveszene der 90er Jahre. Als semi-professioneller und unabhängiger Künstler ließ er sich von der Energie und dem Spirit dieser geheimen Raves inspirieren und brachte den einzigartigen Sound in verlassene Lagerhallen und geheim gehaltene Locations, wo die Nächte zu endlosen Tanzorgien wurden.

Obwohl seine Musik immer ein Hobby blieb, war seine Leidenschaft für elektronische Klänge ungebrochen. Ohne die Unterstützung eines Labels oder gezielte Promotion veröffentlichte er seine Tracks eigenständig im Internet, immer darauf bedacht, die rohe Energie und den ungeschliffenen Charme der illegalen Raves einzufangen. CHiLi CORN schuf so eine treue Fangemeinde, die seine kompromisslose Authentizität schätzt.

Gelegentliche DJ-Engagements auf illegalen Raves ermöglichten ihm, seine Musik direkt mit dem Publikum zu teilen und gleichzeitig das Erbe der Untergrundkultur zu bewahren. Mit einer tiefen Verbindung zur Szene und einem unstillbaren Drang nach kreativer Freiheit bleibt CHiLi CORN ein leidenschaftlicher Vertreter der elektronischen Musik, der stets die ursprüngliche Essenz der Rave-Kultur zelebriert.
