비정 Part.1 (Heartless) (Inst.)

Many years ago, before I started composing, I began to write a fantasy novel. But writing wasn't something I enjoyed doing for hours on end - I much preferred putting my time into creating the world that my story was set in. I populated it with people, lore, history, culture... And though this worldbuilding hasn't been a consistent focus in recent years, my work on my world is something I value greatly. This track was composed as a sort of imaginary soundtrack to a very significant event in my world's history - the Battle of the Bridges.

This one I've worked on for a while. I wanted to capture that feeling of warm content at the beginning and then introduce a really powerful drive for the rest of the piece. Blending electronics with the orchestra really is awesome.

Sorry for the late upload, I've been playing around with so many ideas lately... Anyway, every time I write one of these orchestral/electronic hybrid pieces it turns out that mixing and mastering is most of the work. Fun stuff.

Pathfinder (Powerful, Hybrid)

Circuits & Shields is an MOBA game with a modern twist, currently in development. It's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of MOBAs, or just games in general.

For this piece, I felt the need to kick it all off by establishing a theme - something versatile that can be expanded upon in future pieces. It's an interesting idea since the role of music in MOBAs is kinder to a wide range of champion themes rather than any unifying motif, but a solid theme is always a good foundation for bigger (and better) things in the future.
