A best-of selection of MIDI music composed between 2002~2010, refurbished & re-recorded in 2022. A 1997 Yamaha MU100 XG multi-timbral MIDI synthesizer module was used for the generation of all sound. Tracks 6, 8, 11, 12, 14 & 15 also use a PLG100DX FM expansion plug-in board.

made for maj7's "reverse review revue" event, with the following prompts:
- positive: "the airy, evolving textures evoke a feeling of floating on a river and letting yourself drift downstream, or perhaps swimming through a sea of fluffy clouds."
- negative: "but the lyrics made absolutely no sense at all."

this song is written in arolho lopuo'u, a half-finished conlang i worked on last year. i figured it would be a funny way to have a double meaning of the 'the lyrics make no sense' prompt: the words are in a language only i know anything about, and the limited vocabulary and grammatical structures make it hard to actually write anything meaningful

a side note about the pronunciation: ⟨lh⟩ in the language is supposed to be pronounced with the lateral fricative /ɬ/ but as that sound is not available in the english-speaking voice synth i use i unfortunately had to approximate it with the postalveolar fricative /ʒ/. the rhotic ⟨r⟩ is also a lot uglier here than the flap i would've preferred. i think it's sad but also funny the only public record of this language existing is thus flawed but there was not much i could do

Made for Sample Pack Contest VIII (https://samplepackcontest.bandcamp.com/album/sample-pack-contest-viii)a bit earlier this year. It got 14th out of 37.

Was mostly hastily cobbled together in the last few hours before the deadline and I was disappointed in it at first but I've grown a bit more fond of it since then.

title is the single letter "q" to counteract the title of my entry for spc7 being so long
