Carl! - An LLamas with hats FNF concept

In this project, I crafted my own bells and recorded them to build the environment. Each bell was shaped, tuned, and captured in situ, allowing the ambience to emerge directly from the materiality of the objects themselves. The work also speaks about territories, pastoral trails, and transhumance, letting the sound evoke movement across landscapes and the memory of grazing paths.

Serotonine

An ambient piece built on detuned piano fragments, their harmonics drifting outside the scale. The atonal, broken rhythms carry microtonal values that unsettle the ear. The whole work unfolds like an unstable landscape: experimental, tense, and suspended, never resolving fully.

Blue Lake

An electronic sequence created using Pure Data with additional reverb and delay to produce two  levels, one with prominent sharp sounds and the other a fuzzy background with the impression of increased distance.

Jared Davis - Undulation

Der Text beschreibt keine menschliche Emotion im klassischen Sinne, sondern einen Zustand des Erwachens (Awakening) in einer sterilen Umgebung. Die Worte wirken wie Fragmente eines Systemprotokolls oder einer ersten sensorischen Wahrnehmung. Begriffe wie „Lärm“ und „Haut“ deuten auf eine physische Reibung zwischen dem Ich und einer kalten Außenwelt hin. Es gibt keine Romantik, sondern eine distanzierte Beobachtung von Zuständen. Die Atmosphäre ist klaustrophobisch und analytisch – das „kalte Licht“ dient als Metapher für Erkenntnis ohne Geborgenheit.

kaltes licht / cold light

In common with others, it seems, I encountered various problems with this website. There was a considerable time lapse between pressing the keys and the resulting sounds and the site crashed a couple of times. Then the recording software stopped working and the whole thing eventually gave up the ghost, so that I lost patience with it.  Nevertheless, I did manage to record a few short sequences. I took some of these, added various fx (detuning, delay, etc.) and combined them into this track.

A four-part canon for chorus  accompanied by a bassoon and a battery of percussion instruments.  Quite dissonant and doesn't employ traditional usage of harmony and tonality.

GARDEN AT DAWN - cinematic ambient

This is a work for flute, clarinet, trombone, and string quartet. It is about endometriosis, a disease in which cells like those in the endometrium, the layer of tissue that normally covers the inside of the uterus, grows outside, causing a significant amount of pain and heavy bleeding in menstruating people (and other primates). The music is largely atonal to create feelings of great discomfort. The piece was designed to create awareness about people who suffer from this condition.

Premiered in Bangkok, Thailand as part of the Triphens Ensemble concerts on November 28th and 29th, 2025.

Endometriosis

This is the 9th in a series of perpetual motion works for pianos. It is derived from Luciano Berio's clarinet sequenza. That source shaped Concourse 9, but the sequenza has been reworked so much that its traces are mostly obscured.

Rooted in underground culture and Fine Arts, Raïa Blava develops an immersive ritual ambient project at the crossroads of experimentation and tradition. Working solo as composer and sound sculptor, he explores vernacular musical transmissions with a particular focus on folk and pan-Mediterranean traditions. Blending clarinet performance, handmade instruments, and traditional textures, his music departs from dominant Western tuning systems to embrace a freer, modal approach attuned to alternative resonances.

His compositions craft dense, meditative atmospheres in constant tension, dissolving conventional structures to explore tone as presence and rhythm as a guide through lost paths. Each performance becomes a passage: a gesture as much plastic as musical, as a way through losted paths.
