Since bursting onto the scene in 2010 with huge support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, John Digweed and Dave Clarke, Ireland’s Ian O'Donovan has gone on to achieve great feats as an artist. Ian has forged a unique style within the techno scene, blending a touch of the past with his melodic sound and moulding it into place with top level production. His tracks have found homes on iconic imprints such as Kevin Saunderson's KMS in Detroit, John Digweed's burgeoning Bedrock Records, Christian Smith's Tronic and Sasha's Last Night on Earth label.
Ian has reworked classics like Inner City's 'Good Life' and collaborated with legends like John Digweed along with a string of top solo releases, which have won favour with industry titans like Richie Hawtin and Carl Cox. After standout early releases on Detone and KMS, 2015 sees Ian O'Donovan's stock once more on the rise, fuelled further by the signing of inimitable techno cut 'Vortex' to Adam Beyer's global phenomenon Drumcode Records; an indication that this timeless producer is only now entering his stride. With an arsenal of dance-floor weapons developed over a decade by his side, Ian is committed to bringing his dj sets to the world, taking music lovers on an intricate journey both into the artist’s mind and to a place of musical inspiration. Ian O'Donovan - The Step | Exploited Ghetto

German DJ, producer and label manager, Eric Sneo has been recognised for his experimental sound and production skills with his use of acoustic and electronic instruments into his live performances, from E-Drums and percussion, to even a didgeridoo after his acclaimed performance at "Art Of Life" in 2009. He has releases on famous techno labels including Terminal M, CLR or MB Elektronics, not forgetting his own imprint Mudra Audio which he launched back in 2011. Since his first release on Tronic back in 2013 with his "Move On" EP, he has since become a valued member of the Tronic family. With multiple releases hitting the Beatport charts, including his first album "Intensity" on the label back in 2014, which has a strong remix from Pig&Dan. 
This December 19th, Eric will brings us a sneak peek from his forthcoming solo album "Sound Traveler" due for release in February 2017. The EP kicks off with "Chord Challenge" here premiered, providing a pumping bass with groove laden percussion. Filtering synth chords slowly build as the track builds power, ultimately breaking down before erupting in fine form. Musically we are exploring the ‘power or powerlessness people feel over the things that shape their world’

Building on the success of Vol 1, Detroit pioneers Octave One now serve up Locus of Control Volume 2, continuing their journey of exploration of power or powerlessness over what moves one’s world. 
This EP comes after a busy series of shows for the most famous live act in all of techno, with them recently having played everywhere from Piknic Électronik Montréal to Movement to Dimensions Festival and many more. The show is an all new audio-visual experience for 2019 and continues to keep them at the forefront of the scene despite more than 30 years of experience. Locus of Control Part 2 follows a remix of Giorgia Angiuli and lands on their own 430 West label once more. 

This EP series takes its name from a psychological concept that refers to how strongly people believe they have control over the situations and experiences that affect their lives. Part 1 showcased euphoric piano stabs and uplifting drum lines, and Part 2 explores more propulsive techno. 

Up first, ‘Afrotech’ is a seven minute techno adventure. It’s built on sleek, crisp drums with twisted synths writhing about up top. The devil is in the detail and the way the synths are subtly tweaked throughout to make for a most dynamic journey once more from these brillaint brothers. 

The excellent ‘Detune’ is a futuristic track with layers of shiny metallic drums and taught synth riffs that make for a tense and thrilling ride. Big drums power things along and the whole thing is the sort of sensory overload that will blow up even the biggest warehouse parties and festival stages. 

These are two more powerful tracks from the ever essential Octave One.
