Jai's love affair with electronic dance music began in 1997 when he stumbled across techno, trance, and the Melbourne underground rave scene. After purchasing his first pair of Technics SL1200 turntables the DJ spark was ignited and there was no turning back.  

Over the last two decades Jai has organised a number of underground club and rave events across Melbourne, as well as performing across South and North America, Asia, and beyond. His personal highlights include performing at Burning Man and The Rainbow Serpent Festival. 

Always seeking balance, Jai has firmly established himself within the ecstatic dance community in Australia, splitting his love for house and rave inspired techno with deeper, organic, tribal, and ethno sounds. 

Recently Jai has been based in South East Asia, and has been enjoying sharing his gifts with the vibrant EDM scene of Thailand. This has included guest club spots in Chiang Mai (RedCNX) as well as Ecstatic Dance sets in Pai (Dreamscape) and festival performances at The Great Gathering. 

As a self-described 'sonic shaman', Jai's dj sets are always a meticulous journey, crafted and curated to uplift, inspire and transform. He truly embodies the rich and deep history of underground electronica, keeping its spirit alive and burning brightly well into the future.

Getting us back to the beginning energies of mankind, thus "primordial" energy. A exploration of the heart and soul and mind and body to find what makes us connected since the very beginning of mankind. What do we share as human beings and various tribes? This energy empowers and also heals us to the core. It is the life force, so the mix will have that original life force and be share in the way of all stories of the ancient storytelling oral tradition, which make up true history that is passed down from generation to generation.

Dirlasion is currently helping Desert Raven, through his biggest mission yet, in the Mystical Vision community, cultivate a strong, spiritually-centered music community based on mysticism, healing, honest conversations among members of society, and a deeper journey in life, including the search for God, particularly in music.  Desert Raven and Dirlasion both believe that electronic music absolutely has room for their type of deeper, spiritually-focused music and that mystical vision is needed to help discern the world around us and convey a more lasting and powerful message of love.
