MAIA began her DJ journey in 2013, spinning at rock and emo clubs in London, including the Camden Purple Turtle and the Scala. After spending over six years in Tokyo, she became a resident DJ at a luxury nightclub V1lla Tokyo and has played at reputable venues like Womb and Ageha, playing a mix of EDM, house, and bass music.

Now back in the UK, MAIA has shifted her focus to dark, deep DnB, with added influence from UK dubstep and bassline. She's brought her sound to underground spots in Bristol and Manchester, including Basement 45, Loco Klub, Six Trees, and the Old Abbey Taphouse, and has also made guest appearances on radio such as Ruffneck Ting Records show at Goatshed.

MAIA currently DJs and runs her own monthly bass music night at the Met Tavern in Uxbridge called Wub city.
