Potomac Records was established in 2011, as a limited liability company (LLC) owned by its co-founders; Mike Bailey, Jeff Brasfield, Pete Evick, and David Bayne. What makes Potomac Records so special is the combined skill sets from each owner involved, and utilizing our experience to provide a brand new awareness of the new music industry to our artists and consumers, locally and nationally. Potomac Records has evolved over the past 4 years from a digital distribution provider for artists of all genres located around DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia); to a relied upon music company to provide multiple services to local artists. From song writing/production produced completely in-house, and artist development, with national and international audio and video distribution for our artists; to active relationships with various businesses and organizations around the DC metropolitan area.

The goal has always been to achieve success for our artists in the evolution of the new music business, utilize the talent and skill sets within the organization, and expose to the rest of the world the amazing talent the Washington DC metropolitan area has to offer. This is what Potomac Records is all about.

Mark Beeson is a singer/songwriter/musician from Fairfax, Virginia. He wrote his first songs in high school and hasn't slowed down since. He is an observer and is a self-proclaimed people watcher. His influences are diverse and he includes Paul McCartney and John Lennon as two of his major influences.

Clinton Matthews grew up in South Jersey outside AC, with EDM influences from Atlantic City, Philly and New York since he moved to NOVA he has been entertaining crowds in the Arlington, and all around the DMV and with larger venues with Hiball events like BlocktoberFest, Big Night DC and GOCity ShamrockFest

Jason Masi is an American/DC based singer-songwriter. He got his start with Jubeus, his college band, opening for acts like Blind Melon, Everclear, and SOJA.

Masi stepped out as a solo artist in 2010. He has since released four solo studio albums, Balance & Pull, Life Is Wonderful, Power of a Woman, and Capture the Heart.

His transition led him to supporting slots for hit songwriters like John Waite and Darryl Worley and has kept him busy as a full-time musician performing over 200 shows a year between writing and recording new music. 

Masi’s latest work has been featured in over 60 scenes of the #1 hit daytime drama, The Young and the Restless.

Masi’s music explores multiple genres but is often classified as acoustic rock with elements of folk, r&b, and country. Masi cites influences that range from classic soul artists like Marvin Gaye and Bill Withers to folk and blues icons like Van Morrison and James Taylor as well as modern songwriters in the vein of Mat Kearney, Damien Rice, and James Morrison. His songs are reflective and thought-provoking, yet maintain a free spirited and lighthearted tone. Masi’s songwriting explores the complexity of love and compromise from a unique but relatable perspective. 

He approaches his music in much the same way he does life. His laid-back and easygoing personality translates into the lyrics and tone of his music while his performances are energetic and portray him as the hardworking musician he is. It's a contrast that suits Masi well, as he goes from connecting with new fans like they are old pals and catching up with longtime fans before he takes the stage for a lively and passionate set.
