Formed in 2008, Kid Mud was Sean Duncan, an indie rock vet formerly of Fiver, but with time, Kid Mud has seemingly morphed beyond "one man band" status into something larger than the sum of its parts. He has recruited friends Steve Brooks, Mike Reavill, Nick Ruiz, and Mike Watkins for new input to allow Kid Mud's creative sound to mature. With five diverse musicians from varying tastes and backgrounds, they come together to compile a sound of their own. Unlike earlier Kid Mud (recorded and live) the sound has taken on a new beast of delivering a full, rich sound while maintaining compelling dynamics. Kid Mud's sound brings both the soft and loud like some more well known bands, And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead and Built to Spill.

Lenny grew up in a small South African town, where he never quite fit into the mold. Music was his anchor — a language passed down through his family, a way to stay close to the ones he loved, even long after they were gone. The guitar became his voice, his therapy, his tether to something true.

Now based in Hackney, East London’s creative heart, Lenny channels raw emotion into a sound that’s bold, loud, and unafraid. Blending alternative rock with hip-hop rhythm, soul texture, and jazz fluidity, his music echoes timeless influences — from Santana, Fela Kuti, and Cream to Jordan Rakei, Sampha, The Weeknd, and Yussef Dayes — while pushing into something fiercely modern and uniquely his own.

After years working in the corporate world, 2025 marks a turning point: a declaration of self, a creative renaissance, and a tribute to his father’s legacy. This isn’t just music — it’s memory, it’s motion, it’s mission.
