Toby Tobias _dub bleeps oddities part 2

After some time, the podcast series returns with a fresh mix from Morpha. Morpha, whose real name is Alexander, was born in the south of Russia and currently resides in St. Petersburg. Noteworthy are some of his contributions and collaborations, as this rising artist has worked with labels such as Secuencia Temporales, Profundo Collective, and KVLTO Records. Additionally, he has released a stellar 'The Memoir' podcast that includes 100% productions from himself. He's also a founding member of "Ephemeral," a community dedicated to promoting deep, hypnotic ambient techno music both locally and globally.

We are pleased to feature Alexander in the series as the mix embraces a variety of angles, from ambient to more tribalistic patterns, ensuring a mesmerising ride overall. Enjoy.

RON L is part of Embodiment, an organization that focusses on different spectrums of electronic music and is originally based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. For the past few get-togethers they set foot in Amsterdam to further explore the Dutch scene and to inspire the participants with a challenging sound.

With this recording RON L wanted to translate the past and the present into a set. DJ-ing for over 5 years he came in contact with several styles within electronic music and RON L thought this was a great moment to dig deeper into his music collection to create a trip down memory lane to build an emotional bond with the audience while also remaining in the present using some recent releases.

We are delighted to present you the first opus of 2024 and also the new V/A from the Accents Records catalog, ACCENTVA008 will be released for this new spring!

 This season, synonymous with life and renewal, is the perfect time to launch this new opus in the ACCENTVA series, a deliberately eclectic and inclusive review of current developments on the electronic music scene. With a more generous format than ever before, it makes room for both well-known label producers and pioneering artists whose work criss-crosses the world with their unique and immediately identifiable sound. Thirty artists have responded to the invitation and are brought together here to give us a glimpse into the prism of contemporary musical creation. Nor are there any presupposed and therefore definitive barriers of genre or style, On the contrary, the contours here are intended to be voluntarily porous and slippery, each track being interconnected with another, or at least echoing what we might call the zeitgeist.

Born in Poland, currently residing in Berlin, Pawel is a passionate collector of vinyl records. He's been present on stage for more than a decade now, for many years associated with Wrocław's @striktlabel and with Szczecin's The Other Way project. Tatsuoki started his DJ career in 2011. His DJ skills provide the perfect tuning for the dance floor, spanning various techno genres from deep hypnotic, acid, trance, to psychedelic. A beloved artist for playing crossover and adventurous techno, expertly reading the dance floor's energy. Tatsuoki's DJ mixes have been featured on podcasts like Dino Sabatini's Outis Music (Italy), Out System (Germany), Oslated (Korea), Munitum (Italy), TechnoTrippin', Archaic (Spain), and MONUMENT (Norway) since 2016.

In 2012, Tatsuoki launched his own event in Tokyo, "Broad," committed to crossover and adventurous techno. He booked renowned international techno artists, including those from the UK Bristol bass, Detroit electro, and deep hypnotic scenes. "Broad" flourished into a techno party hosted at Contact Tokyo.

Tatsuoki moved to Fukuoka in spring 2020 seeking a new scene. He continues his "Broad" events at Kieth Flack in Fukuoka, booking both Japanese and international techno artists bimonthly, helping to shape the city's techno scene. His future holds national and international endeavors, evidenced by his May 2023 set at HÖR Berlin and upcoming July tour in Asia. For the next stage of his career he has begun to produce original music.

The Observatory - ma lo

A place in thinner heights, far away from pretentious society and its toxic consequences. Shallow waters lie below, surrounded by jagged rocks, with only the starry sky above. In its purity, this refuge invites to connect with the universe and contemplate about its secrets and deeper truths. It is Henrii Havaas’ music that resounds from all the mountain ridges.

Henrii travels in the space between ambient, techno and euphoric soundscapes, drawing upon a seductive fusion of groovy rhythms, cheeky cuts, hypnotic elements and deep atmospheres. Influenced by meditative journeys, she experiences DJing as painting with sounds. Her musical images have mesmerized numerous people at such big and important happenings as Boom, Ozora, Monument and others. She is also involved in the realisation of Soria Gathering, a festival for human development and hypnotic crafts high up on the Lofoten Islands.

Her mix is a soft and deep encounter with minimalist and playful psychedelic sounds, that oscillate between shimmering spheres full of illumination and gloomy chasms, that drift into the dark.
