Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.

Peter Csabai is a former Hungarian professional tennis player. He has spent a long time on tour as an athlete, but even then he had a CD case with 200 albums in his bag, and a guitar (still wants to learn how to play it) on his shoulder. U.S. custom agents thought he is a smuggler. 

Music was always part of his life, but until 2016 he had no real chance to develop his musical talents. Life took charge, led him to other paths. He started to work with a DJ as a technician and during that time he made his first mixes. One thing led to another ... now he is a regular DJ in Hungary's capital, and he is certainly happier than ever. His goal is to make other people happy.

He was a big fan of Metallica's instrumental songs and he also liked Jean-Michel Jarre's and Mike Oldfield's classics. Influences like those and the combination of a hard, intense, somewhat dark, but melodic style makes his music very special.

Chobee Gardena is Balázs Csoboth from  Hungary, who was born in Székesfehérvár in 1986. In the middle of '90s he caught up the electronic music revolution in Hungary. His father was the vinyl collector&distributor of Pécs in the '80s. In the middle of '90s he came into the famous AKAI turntable from his father and he fallen in love it! In 2004 he becomed a promoter in Székesfehérvár. In 2009 he landed in the JUSTMUSIC.FM Djchampionship. 
Nowadays he works as a gardener, designer, promoter and dj in VOYAGE.FM.

Already receiving a No. 1 Beatport Progressive House hit with the “Yoav” EP on Lost & Found in October 2017, the year culminated in a debut full-length album for Guy J’s label; “Could Be Heaven” thus signaled significant success in November 2017. A No. 1 best-seller in Beatport’s Electronica charts saw Chicola simultaneously reach the No. 2 and 3 spots in Progressive House and Techno respectively, while blue chip support for the Israeli’s 12-track magnum opus has come from Nicole Moudaber, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and fellow countryman, Guy Mantzur. Moreover, given exclusive access to album material, the renowned German duo, Tale Of Us championed “Backstabber” for the duration of their summer residency at Ibiza’s “Privilege”.
