On this weeks episode of the Space Cowboys RIPEcast, we are continuing to celebrate Bay Area DJ heroes by bringing you Mo Corleone from the InfleXion Crew.  Local favorite Mo Corleone has been a beloved fixture in the Bay Area underground for over 15 years. An introduction to Burning Man in 2000 solidified her commitment to gatherings powered by unbridled creativity and autonomy. Mo honed her skills spinning vinyl in warehouses, basements, and other renegade spaces where free expression reigned supreme. She can strike gold in almost any genre and enjoys moving fluidly through sounds and scenes. Mo constantly pushes herself to improve, and she probably thinks you can do better, too. Here's what she had to say about this guest mix:

"My goal was to prove that breaks can be fun and dirty and even "booty" without misogynist or degrading vocals. I had to dig even more than usual, but I can confirm it is 100% possible to play a slammin' breaks set devoid of negative messages. DJs have an outsized amount of influence on bodies as well as brains, and I'd like to encourage all of us entertainers to use our powers for good."

Mo Corleone (InfleXion) RIPEcast Guest Mix

The fifth annual Second Halloween (known to some poor saps as Valentine's Day), the newly invented holiday from the legendary Brass Tax crew is a real delight. Why only have one time a year to dress up. And why celebrate a hallmark holiday when instead you can dress up and be merry with friends?

This set is an off-the-cuff live recording from the event which inadvertently had a very "shake" theme. I did ask everyone to bring booties to shake so it was appropriate. Thanks to Brass Tax for inviting me to play!
