Born in 1995, slim.choi (Al Ghi Choi) spent most of his childhood in Daejeon, South Korea. He learned to play piano and cello in elementary school and middle school but lost interest in couple of years and gave up. He moved to U.S. (New York) for high school, where his musical enthusiasm started to bloom. He taught himself how to play guitar and started writing songs for fun. After high school, he started going to college where he got academically suspended in less than a year. He is currently living his life making music in his bedroom in his free time in pursuit of his dream. 
The name "slim.choi" was given by his buddies when he was making rap/hiphop music, and has been too lazy to change it ever since.
