Sup y'all?! For this 7 planets parade and for this New Year (March 1st)  I'm proud to announce that my debut album called "The Metasophical Sound Of The Universe" is NOW OUT on Hip Hop Enterprise!

For more than two decades I had been making beats, however most part of time I only kept it for me and my friend. And even if I already had one of my productions pressed on vinyl & CD with Decade Da Mad Imperial for his Heavy*****Wait  album , 9 years ago in New York, I've always produced for me (in order to write over it mostly). Also I didn't share much because I'm shy by nature.  

But this year I said to mySelf why not make a move and spread the Vibes by putting some of my beats (the one I made last year) on vinyl format. 

So yeah, if you dig the B2DS Vibes, great chances you will love this project as much as we did/do. For it's all about that boom bap 90's jazzy soulful instrumentals.

⋎ DONALD BYRD TRIBUTE MIX ⋎

Hello everyone, next up in my soundcast series is another great 2 hours dedicated to more Jazz sounds. As some of you may know trumpet and Jazz/Funk legend Donald Byrd sadly passed away in February this year leaving behind him a staggering body of work which begun in the mid 50s to the present day. For someone to be releasing, touring and constantly evolving their sound for over 50 years whilst staying true to their roots is mind blowing and i can barely think of anyone else like Mr. Byrd. Prolific from the start on Jazz labels Blue Note, Riverside and Savoy, he was known for his blues and hard-bop style. An interest in African-American musical history took his sound into a more free-form style in the 60s and early 70s with his albums 'Kofi' and 'Ethiopian Nights' particular reference points in his long discography. As he gained recognition in the mid 70s his sound evolved once more, utilising shorter song-based compositions. 'Stepping Into Tomorrow' and 'Places & Spaces' are full of joyful expansions of his original Jazz sound, combining his great trumpet playing with an expanding eye on arrangement and production. It was also around then he formed the Blackbyrds from a young group of musicians he had been teaching and they in turn released three great albums under his masterful touch. His career continued in the 80s with more pop-based albums with his group 125th Street NYC, and of course later in his career his work was heavily sampled by producers such as J Dilla, Nas, Pharcyde and Madlib.

This soundcast begins in his earlier period with four classic Jazz cuts from the 60s and 70s before moving onto his large body of work from the 70s where influences from Jazz, Soul, Funk, Rhythm and Blues and Pop can be heard. Each cut on here is either performed by or written or arranged by Donald Byrd and is only a brief adventure into the body of work of this amazing artist. May he rest in peace.

Started in 2001 by then-Manchester-based DJ Chubby Grooves aka Pro Celebrity Golf. Only 1 release a year for the first 3 years of the label's existence culminated in 2004 with the epic cut-n-paste mix Three Sinister Syllables. Since then label owner and artist Pro Celebrity Golf has been acting in more of an A&R capacity excavating lost 90's Hip Hop material [as well as brand new DOPENESS] and releasing it for the first time on vinyl in limited quantities.
