Sunless Season creates atmospheric late night mellow beats with varied influences of hip hop, ambient, and darker melodies with synths and samples.

This is a new music adventure for me who has played music typically for much heavier metal/rock genres over the years. This special digital music project also shines a light on many of my other influences that I hold dear to me.

Westport is a Kansas City based duo that began after both members graduated high school in Kansas City, KS. Zach Leon is a talented musician and songwriter. Alone he has written many songs and successfully competed in various song writing competitions. Mitzy Alvidrez is a talented singer and songwriter. Alone she has competed in singing competitions as well as being involved in choirs and ensembles. Zach and Mitzy met in their late teens and began singing together for friends and small audiences. They first began writing songs together after nights of bouncing off ideas, realizing that they had similarities in how they looked at the world around them. The first song they wrote together was 'Love Letters 'which they later recorded on their first demo in 2012,  "Freshman Fifteen". In 2013 they established themselves as a band and played various shows in the Kansas City and Lawrence areas of Kansas. Their most frequented place to showcase their talents was in an area better known as Old Westport. It is a historic town in Kansas City Missouri. The duo spent countless nights performing on street  corners and enjoyed hearing stories from the many people they met just walking by. They were there so much that people that frequented the nightlife scene began to recognize them and they were able to build a bigger following. That is where the name Westport came about, staying close to their roots. In 2014 they successfully recorded a full album, "The Best Summer". They debuted their album on Social media as well as iTunes and received many followers that loved their music. Later on in that same year Zach Leon took and chance and moved to Nashville Tennessee where he played many shows and grew his cultural knowledge of music itself. In 2015 Mitzy also took a chance and moved to Nashville to pursue music alongside Zach. Now in 2016 they are ready to reintroduce the world to the sound that is Westport.
