World Circuit Records has made its reputation by producing some of the finest albums of the past three decades. The label’s prestigious roster includes the Grammy-winning Buena Vista Social Club and associated solo artists (including Ibrahim Ferrer, Rubén González, Omara Portuondo and Orlando ‘Cachaíto’ López), Malian blues pioneer and Grammy-winner Ali Farka Touré, Malian divas and social activists Oumou Sangaré and Fatoumata Diawara, master kora player Toumani Diabaté, the illustrious Orchestra Baobab, musical iconoclast Cheikh Lô, and Fela Kuti’s legendary drummer and co-creator of Afrobeat Tony Allen.

Initially founded in 2002 as an offshoot of the celebrated Knitting Factory club in lower Manhattan, Knitting Factory Records, along with the new Knitting Factory club in Brooklyn, was reborn in 2009 with the acquisition and re-release of the Fela Kuti catalog. KFR also encompasses the catalogs of Instinct Records, Shadow Records, Shimmy Disc, and Evolver Records.

In partnership with Partisan Records, a Brooklyn-based artist-run label, Knitting Factory Records strives to honor the music of an eclectic array of relevant artists drawn from both the past and the present.

Clayton Joseph Scott's music project began in a studio on Electric Avenue in Venice Beach, CA. Influenced by singer/songwriter legends such as Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, and Bob Marley, Clayton steps in the path of modern roots/rock performers, like the great Michael Franti to deliver a positive message, while invigorating audiences of all cultures to dance with a purpose.

Clayton's debut "More Love,” features an array of feel-good roots/rock anthems such as, "On My Way" a dedication to music mentor Paul Simon; "Love Fool" which is Clayton's ballot, and fool-hearted story of falling in love, to dance favorite "Tambourine" lead by a sexy sultry bass line reminiscent of the 70's disco era, with a funk twist. The album's entire body of work takes the listener on a journey, and one can't help but play the entire CD all the way through. Even the first track, "Ready To Fly" prepares you for this epic adventure of lyrical enchantment. Supported by his band of brothers, their musical accompaniment provides the lift beneath a listeners wings as one coasts through this soul centered experience in which Clayton acts as pilot reminding all passengers aboard the ever important power of the human spirit.
