I caught her attention, and when she turned toward me, the sun illuminated every detail of her pretty eyes. They encapsulated me. I'd never seen the sunlight dance across an iris this way before.. holy fuck did i almost lose my balance at the sudden eye contact, i could see every detail of them, so close that i could see myself in the reflection

I had NEVER. loved anyone like I loved Lucia, I don't know when it happened, but I had realized I met someone I could care for, and someone who could care for me. She was a glimmer of peace in a desolate, dark environment.

It seemed that just my presence helped calm her self-hatred. I thought every part of Lucia was beautiful. Her bones poking through her pale, scar-ridden skin—a clear sign of illness. I felt compelled to help. In any given moment, I had to be a helping hand. She deserved to be loved, wanted, and cared for.

Her skin was cool to the touch. Her voice was soft, yet it wrapped around me like a silk ribbon. Her attention was addicting. Just having her in my presence was blissful.
