Q: Talking about your mix: how did these tracks have an impact on your career?

A: All of these tracks have had a big influence on me music-wise. In some way or another these tracks kinda describe different periods in my life with music. I mean this mixtape is only 1 hour and if I had to make a mixtape that included ALL the songs that have meant something to me, that mixtape would be lasting for weeks.

Q: From Aalborg/Denmark to the world. Did you ever think about to move to bigger "scene citys" such as Berlin or Barcelona?

A: I actually lived in Barcelona for 6 months. That made it easier for me when I had to fly out for gigs. Sometimes it is a bit difficult for promotors to book me as flights aren’t always the easiest to manage from Aalborg. But I love my city and we have a great House/Techno community here. Maybe some day I will go discover the world, but I’m actually really satisfied with my small hometown.

Q: Which Pete Oak and Blindfold Recordings projects are coming soon?	
		
A: I have some projects coming up on Stil Vor Talent and Blindfold Recordings. But right now I’m working on something completely different project that isn’t house music. Hopefully I will get some more time to get my house-vibes going again over the summer.

Known for his high-quality house sets, Daniel Faulwasser, aka Dan Drastic, is a firm fixture in Germany’s club scene. In addition to his deejaying skills, his work as a producer has been impressive, particularly in recent years. Furthermore, he has managed to build an international fan base as a presenter and producer of the monthly Moon Harbour Radio Show. 

As early as the Nineties, he was active as a deejay and organized club nights in his hometown, Chemnitz. In 2004 he moved to Leipzig. There he was quickly welcomed into the Moon Harbour family and released his first productions on Highgrade, Lorna, Curl Curl and the English label Hairy Claw, which is part of Stevie Kotey’s label group Bear Entertainment. 

At the end of the summer of 2008, his first EP “Slice Of Life” was released on Moon Harbour. The title track was the start of Dan Drastic’s regular appearance on Moon Harbour. Subsequently he cooperated with Chris Lattner and Matthias Tanzmann and released tracks on several Moon Harbour label compilations, as well as on other labels such as Luna Records and Rrygular, teaming up with his friend Andreas Eckhardt on the latter. In addition artists such as Luna City Express and Simon Flower have asked him to remix their music. In early 2012 his “Noodle Stories EP” was released on Moon Harbour. Soon afterwards he mixed the new label compilation “Moon Harbour Inhouse Vol.4”, released in June 2012. 

Since autumn 2011 he has been producing and presenting the monthly Moon Harbour Radio Show, alternating with Luna City Express. The show has garnered a broad base of regular listeners worldwide and is broadcast by several Internet radio stations like Pioneer DJ Radio and Samurai FM. 

Dan Drastic is the guarantee for a great set on the dance floor. He is now being booked throughout Europe and has already performed in venues and on club nights like Studio80 (Amsterdam), Watergate (Berlin), Panoramabar (Berlin), The Zoo Project (Ibiza) and Robert Johnson (Offenbach). In Leipzig he hosts the Moon Harbour Flights that take place every two months at the legendary Distillery.

A modern artist with regular releases, he is a key music producer and DJ in the electronic music scene, whose attention-grabbing music holds great surprises for music enthusiasts worldwide. Over the years he has productively released a number of noteworthy tracks and remixes of tracks by the likes of Haze-M Thodoris Triantafillou, Batsi Grub, Garance, Ron Flatter, Sid le rock, Juan Deminicis, Kolombo and many more. Its with great pleasure we bring you the next in our podcast series, a individual who has been gracing decks and entertaining Dancefloor’s for over 3 decades, a true technician behind the turntables and just an all round top bloke, Jay Bacall.

Founder of Esoteric Club nights and Disappearing Dining Club resident - after nearly 30 years native Londoner and vinyl-junkie Jay is still immersing himself in all things music.
With roots in disco, house and electronic synth pop, as well as being a former ardent raver, Jay is still pushing forward on the electronic music front and constantly looking for new boundaries to enhance his eclectic style.
Having amassed and inherited a huge collection of vinyl dating back to the 70's, these days the ageing raver is more likely to be found sharing eclectic sounds with like-minded 'vinylphiles', especially in north London's Dartmouth Arms.

After starting out as a DJ in Leeds, UK, @tina-v has played in clubs, festivals and underground parties. She soon got into production, and has had a string of releases on labels like Night Light Records, Stick, In’deep’n’dance, Dynamo, Definitive, and many more. Gaining support from many of the big players in the scene, Tina’s music has made it onto the BBC Radio 1 Essential mix, and been charted and played by DJs like Richie Hawtin and Bart Skils.

Her groovy take on techno has brought her all around Europe, with gigs in cities like London, Barcelona and Berlin. Besides playing in top clubs in Scandinavia such as The Villa, Jaeger and Culture Box, she currently runs the night “Kinetics” - booking both local and international DJs with her partner Plain Jane.
