The storm clouds were visible from miles away. Drove right into them anyway.
Something exciting, strangely inviting and no time to think it through.
So I get out of my car, tilt my head to the sky, and close my eyes.

I was lifted, picked up, tossed around.
I am sick and enthralled at the same time.
Hit by debris, I can no longer see and my head is gonna explode.

Tornado... carried me away.

...and it went around and around and around and around...

I open my eyes again. As quick as it came, it's gone.
There's nothing left standing here, the path of destruction is oh so clear.
Search and rescue arrives, asks if I am okay, and treats my wounds.

I was lifted, picked up off the ground. I am hurt but thank god I'm alive.
Hit by a wave, I can finally see: that I shall overcome.
