The River is a dub-inspired psychedelic garage-folk track recorded live in single unedited takes in a Helsinki apartment.

The track is inspired by the quiet menace of countryside rituals - in this case, cricket - the song blends wrong-footed melodies, rough-edged guitars, and reggae-tinged bass guitar.

Island Wastrel is the project of Adie Kaye, a former RAK Studios engineer who worked with Kate Nash and The Last Shadow Puppets.
