One of my favorite tracks right now is RÜFÜS, "Innerbloom", because of how all the sounds slowly clash together in this strange dissonance that actually makes the most perfect, musical climax...and  it happens over and over again. 
Cosmic Gate does a phenomenal job of doing this as well at a "dance level", but with lyrical elements and vocals inserted in there (my goal some day!..maybe I'm not the producer, but as the singer, cellist, pianist, managing those beats, dancing ahh ok maybe all of it lol...to DJ like that - live sets - Ableton you damn rate limiting step!)
Above & Beyond has had this <sound tugging at your heart strings ability> figured out from the beginning of time lol, probably in part because of their innate ability to turn acoustic, live recordings into electronic sounds that appeal to everyone. And people like Diplo, Doc Martin, etc. ...geniuses in their own regard.. creating their own electronic sounds through wavelength manipulation using vocals or random shit you wouldn't have though of -- hitting all those right receptors in the brain -- and live DJ sets that elevate all levels of synesthesia in my opinion.
So, I always have seen images while speaking, hearing or playing music, etc...like full on movie production scenes lol. I've been obsessed with colors and LEDs and I'll never stop loving being in a club/theatre saturated in sound/light in "Ayesha Club Mode". 
Nowadays when I sing, I literally see these waves of LED color bounce up and down with the sound of my voice ... I could never really "meditate" before, but now I feel my eyes almost roll back in my head when it happens and it's the most crazy high one could imagine. I guess all that doodling in school makes a lot more sense. :)

Point of my soliloquy? "Desert Heart" reminds me of all of the above. Talented David, Solis, has found perfect points to synthesize his sounds and my natural voice to create climaxes where you hear the slow builds, fast builds...close your eyes....your heart like a metronome keeps synching with the beat, but your body and feet sometimes move like a snake slow and smooth and other times jumping and fast like a jungle cat!...dance, no one can stop you from your form of expression <3
