The track features the legendary Dre Pallemaerts on drums. Alongside Vanbergen’s on bass and synthwork he supplies a treacherous maze of a groove through which Ms. Caluwaerts’ vocal samples ping pong lavishly.

The single comes of the duo’s forthcoming album, which is inspired by the work of Belgian filmmaker Kadir Ferati. The track is also accompanied by a video of his.

Hell Yeah has enlisted two superb artists to remix a favourite cut from Calm's wonderful Before album and they are label friends Willie Graff and Gallo.

Graff is a proper DJ who has been a resident at Cielo in NYC and Pacha’s Funky Room in Ibiza for the last 15 years while also releasing on plenty of esteemed labels. His Calm remix has already become a beachside classic this summer with plenty of magical sunset plays. And for good reason - it's a soothing sound with pillow bass, gentle synth arps and aching piano keys all unfurling to beautifully mesmeric effect.

Balearic Gabba Sound System member and Buena Onda resident Gallo has long been associated with this label and has a new single coming here soon. This remix is a great taster of it with its wide open sense of space and heavenly saxophone lines which drift and flat above the gentle patter of organic percussion and starry-eyed keys. 
A downtempo masterclass that offers sheer musical escapism.

Prins Emanuel - Year-End - s0769

Music For Dreams are proud to announce that a new album is underway from the electronic pop-ensemble Hess Is More. The first track from the project, titled

Led by Danish drummer and composer Mikkel Hess, the ensemble has released 12 albums since 2003, donning a shifting constellation of musicians from both sides of the Atlantic. Hess Is More’s material combines styles of electronic music, jazz, krautrock and afrobeat in a pop-oriented, melodically rich sound.

The act is also known for its work across mediums, collaborating with visual artists, designers and filmmakers, recently producing the highly acclaimed series of dramatized concerts slash art installations known as Apollonian Circles.

The forthcoming album, titled CÆKE, bridges back to Hess Is More’s early albums, with the act scaled back down to a solo operation of Mikkel Hess writing, producing and performing most of the music himself. The result is a more minimalistic and personal sound than the sprawling material of later ensemble-projects.

The first single, titled ‘You And Me And Them’, is a gentle, spacious pop composition built around piano, drum machine and vocals, all performed by Mikkel Hess. A pristine and wistful mood that blooms and deepens through soft, twirling melodics.

The song was written by Mikkel Hess his wife Nira Kehar in their countryside home. The serene mood of the track reflects this setting, capturing the intimacy of time spent by the piano. In Mikkel’s own words, “the song is a close-up view of life as it unfolds twenty years after the first album came out, and a reaching out to those who might be listening from the beyond.”

The album is scheduled for release in late 2024 on Music For Dreams.

For this episode of the ongoing Film Music series, music supervisor Lol Hammond and DJ/producer Chris Coco hook up with Paul Hartnoll, one half of the legendary electronic duo Orbital, for some dramatic instrumental action.
The boys got together at Chris’s London studio earlier this year with the idea to make some tracks to soundtrack late night adventures, after hours escapades and nocturnal drives.
It all went so well and so fast that they made enough material for a mini EP in just a couple of days.
You can hear the Orbital vibes in there along with a lot of big ambient drama from Coco and some tinkling piano from Hammond. 
The overall effect is slightly scary and definitely epic and evocative. The titles give us clues of the drama that is unfolding. When are you making the movie to go with the music, boys?
