"Jay Rodger is a chameleon to the electronic world; an acoustic singer/songwriter gone producer, vocalist, and collaborator. You may know him as "Fragics" or "Koalesc", as well. However, "Moments of Silk" is at the root of Jay's artistry - a smooth and building acoustic folk song layered with vocal harmonies and subtle instrumentation. Tender, sweet, yet almost nostalgic at times, "Moments of Silk" brings listeners through a wave of emotion - but grounds them in a silky smooth lullaby-like chorus. 

From the start City By Night has supported Jay Rodger, and believes he will do great things; thus including 2 remixes from the label managers themselves. Bruised Skies brings his ambient strengths out in his remix. Subtle vocal builds and a constant envelope of guitar make this a subtle, yet heart-wrenching version of the original. 

Finally, Aeuria and Soular Order teamed up to create a fusion of power and sensitivity; characteristics that describe them as producers perfectly. With their "Moments of Silk" remix, you can expect to hear icy piano, distant vocals and a chorus that will leave your jaw hanging.

Introducing Haraket, a 5 piece from South London who are set to release their debut 12" / digital single on Melodica Recordings this Spring. The band emerged from the creative chaos of school and college bands in and around Peckham that have already given the world King Krule. This is the first in a series of releases with Melodica Recordings, with an album due next year. 
 
Haraket fuse wall-of-sound dynamics with often delicate source material, moody electronics, programmed beats and effected vocal lines. Think a post dubstep version of early Underworld or A Certain Ratio reinvented by the new digital century. 'Taint' / 'Attgo' showcases the young band's keen ear for contrast, sensuous tonal material and high drama, something that is reflected ten-fold in their live shows.


Djrum follows on from his accomplished work on 2nd Drop records with a captivating take on 'Taint',  morphing it into something special. It's moody and dark, sounding like the soundtrack of a film Noir with Hardiman's vocals appearing in a new, smoky light.

8 Miles To Moenart has literally brought Tall Black Guy full circle. Detroit was where he
started making music, and it’s to his hometown he returns to draw inspiration for his
debut album. Taking in low-slung hip hop, downtempo house and jazz-tinged street soul,
it’s a record of rare focus. Largely instrumental, he’s also added some choice collabs
with Ozay Moore (formerly known as Othello) and Diggs Duke, bringing their own
unique styles to the melting pot. This record encapsulates the musical heritage
of Detroit, through the looking glass of Tall Black Guy's own signature sound.
